My boyfriend and I have been coming to Kappo Nara for the past couple of years, and it’s truly become one of our favorite spots in Virginia Beach! Beyond the amazing food, what keeps us coming back is the incredible service— especially from Ty. He’s always so friendly and takes great care of us. We’ve loved getting to know him personally and catching up every time we stop in. Can’t recommend this place enough! :)

Staff was rude came here many times before never experienced this person she made me order to go and said she couldn’t seat me bc they close at 3 it was 2:50 ok I order to go I asked what time do they stop seating people she said 2;45 lol ok so I asked for gyoza well done never had anyone ask me before what that meant she said explain to her what I mean by well done, I said I always order it this way she proceeded to tell me since she has never served me before I have to explain to her what that means I will Not be back

Had a great eating experience here! The food was really good and the service was even better. If you don't know what you want just ask the waitress and tell her not to be safe in their choice. I got the seafood ramen extra spicy and it was perfect.

I went to eat with my daughter at 1 pm !. I asked to sit in the booth and i told the host i didn’t mind waiting how ever long it took for to clean the table i just wanted that corner spot !. Our waitress did not come once to our table ! But every table in there is was a total of about 5 tables she went and ask if everything was okay even took empty plates off their table !. Wanted to take a picture with my daughter could not !. She gave another table bags and utensils but i had to wave her down twice !. All good spend $50 the food was good the service specially from her was not worth it !. Didn’t tip her at all cause the host was the one that took us the food !.

They don't use pork belly they use pork loin so it's dry. The egg was overcooked. The noodles where done perfectly. The broth wasn't hot enough like like warm.

Very decently priced compared to other ramen places in VB! I like going here with friends because the price is reasonable, and we can also order boba tea at Ninja Tea! I also love that you can take polaroid photos if you dine in. The polaroid photos definitely make the restaurant much cozier and inviting. As for food, they do have a good selection of rice and ramen dishes, and the appetizers' choices are also decently diverse. The ramen broth is rather salty, however. The ramen would taste just fine if the salt level is reduced (umami vs saltiness are two very different things). The katsu can be a bit dried at times - I think this is probably because the meat cut is thinner than usual katsu cuts, so the meat gets dried out when fried. Lastly, the steamed rice can taste mildly soggy at times (maybe because it's cooked in big batches).

The ramen is delicious I ordered almost all of them and it's always so yummy. The house ramen is my favorite. The atmosphere could benefit from some remodeling and cleaning especially the bathroom. However, if you're in the mood for good ramen I would recommend this place.
