Mold found on two different ensaimada. I’ve never been to Laguna Bakery & Filipino Food; however, my family often purchases their ensaimada sold at Felynn whenever we are in town during the summer, and have been doing so for almost 10 years now.
This past weekend, we purchased their ube and mango ensaimada sold at Felynn, drove 2hrs home, and upon closer inspection, found mold on both. Didn’t take a picture of the ube one, since I thought maybe it was a one-off (there were small spots of mold on the cheese). The mango one initially looked fine, but found mold after flipping it over. Disappointing, especially since that was a waste of $15.
Laguna Bakery needs to start writing the dates made on their products, especially since their products are sold at other small businesses. Not to mention the fact that baked goods go bad quickly when sitting out on the counter, and even more so when stored on a styrofoam plate wrapped in Saran Wrap.
I even read a previous review from a year ago saying how someone also saw moldy products sitting out.. I’m surprised this issue hasn’t been resolved since then.
We’d love to keep purchasing their ensaimada at Felynn; they’re delicious, but won’t be doing so unless changes are made.
I order from here all the time and the food reminds me of my childhood so much. It's on of my favorite places, its cozy, delicious and exactly what I want EVERY time
Spanish bread saved my life
It had been many years since I had been here. Everyone was very friendly and greeted me when I came in. I shoukd of checked my order before I left because 3 items never made it home. I only had a credit card receipt so I am not sure what i was charged for. My pancit was missing the vegetables and the lumping was cut in half. When I ordered 20, I expected regular rolls, not 10 lumping that had been cut in half. This is the only place that has ever made them this small. They do not look like this in the pictures. I would go back to try some of the other food but not the pancit or lumpia.

Skinny lumpia, almost no meat. Pancit hads no meat. Oil that cooked the lumpia was old, smells burnt.

My job placed a door dash order. Chicken luumpia was not available so they did a refund. Would have been nice to get notified if we wanted to substitute for another item when it's not available. I ordered the mini Leche flan and the size of this portion was ridiculously TINY for $4....no flavor and it was DRY. I also ordered pork sinigang which was ok.... Hardly any vegetables tho.

We wanted to buy bread, but it got to almost $50 so I said just return the $10
Ensaymada because “mahal”, I didn’t have enough cash. The owner got mad, she said she got offended I said “mahal” (expensive) and told me not to buy my stuff anymore.
She was mean and rude, food is bad and expensive. Stay away from this place, go to Red Riboon a block away. Better food, best service, Red Ribbon it is!

I got a dozen Pandesal and couldn't believe what it looked like! It looks like hard, crusty lumps of dough hardened by oil/shortening. I can't believe they would serve that to customer's. We initiately ate one each, just to taste it and promptly thew it out. We will not be returning.

Walked in, placed an order and paid for it in CASH. They said it would be 10 minutes for the pepperoni roll, so we ran a quick errand and when we went right back(15 minutes),they were closed before 6 pm (hours are posted as 7 pm is closing time.). The phone numbers on the door are not in order, they don't work. There was a heat advisory of 110° this day and it took 20 minutes of knocking on the door and then finally texting the other number on the big window and someone came out. No food though, they refunded our money. We saw they had plenty of Pancit and lumpia, plus they gave us a time for our order. Why take our money and then turn around and close after we left? Very bad business. I won't go back. I'll find another restaurant that has Filipino food. What really sucks is we planned this special trip to Laguna Bakery. Now, we have to go without because all these places close early. We can't make it to a good one before they close. Thanks for nothing Laguna. Looks like chips for dinner. Damn, our mouths were ready for some Filipino food. You suck Laguna.?

I can't speak to their food because I never got to order. Terrible customer service. Walked in and waited. Nobody acknowledged me even though the place was empty and I was the only customer. A staff member came out to get food, I said hello and she said hello and then nothing. She walked back to the back room. Saw another young lady and asked for assistance but she informed me she was only handling DoorDash orders and for me to wait for the First Lady I saw earlier to assist me. When she noticed that lady wasn't assisting she walked over and said she can take my order. I said no thank you and walked out. I'll spend my hard earned money elsewhere.

I love Laguna for the convenience of being close enough to my house and that I can trust them getting my DoorDash orders right (for my lazy days). Wish they were open everyday though. Their flavors are really good and they’re very generous with portions for the price you pay. Only suggestion with the crispy pork belly kare-kare is maybe serve them separately so the pork belly remains crispy up until the customer decides to mix them together.
