We were a group of 4 there last night. The food is tasty and the atmosphere is pleasant. I would give them 5 stars except they refused to provide a gluten free alternative for the fish dip...not even carrots or celery...they are not friendly for people with gluten intolerance or allergies. One of their cocktails listed both gin and vodka and they refused to make that cocktail without the vodka...which tells me that their drinks must be pre-made and that they can't make any drink not specifically listed on the menu. The prices are a bit higher than expected for the menu and portions offered.

Very Bohemian artistic atmosphere. They have a bar in the back in addition to the front. Wasn’t my cup of tea for atmosphere, and expected larger dishes but they serve tapas.

Absolute favorite for my wife and I, we have been going since for some time now (approximately 30 visits) and the level of service and quality of food is exceptionally consistent. The chefs are top notch, making food that is locally sourced and absolutely delicious. The wines they carry are unique and complete the experience. Culinarily this place has opened my eyes to products and food combinations I wouldn't have typically tried. Its an absolute gem. We've never had a bad experience here... If you ever get the opportunity... treat yourself and drop on by... you will not regret it!

They don’t have a large menu and they don’t need one! It’s better to have less but fantastic. Everything we ordered was delicious . Duck breast, Gnudi and mushroom tartine were amazing!

The ambiance of this place reminds me of a NY wine bar. Very cute place and it was within walking distance of our hotel which was nice. Barkeep was nice but not very talkative. Quick service though! We sat at the bar and was around for happy hour. The drinks were pretty good. My hubby's food was the bomb. He got cod bites. I ended up getting olives just to have a little snack and I tricked myself because I felt like I overpaid but I am the one that ordered it! I should have known haha. I think this place is on the right track but needs a little more refinement! They got to develop their drink menu more. And have a few other things to eat. We would go back though!

Excellent local spot. Felt like I was back home in the SF Bay. Great cocktails, great food, great people.

Super warm greeting when we entered and it is much larger inside than I expected. We were easily sat at a nice table off the bar and reviewed the limited menu. Loads of drinks and a huge wine list - but food options are short. I like that our server said the food changes out often bc they try to only use what they can locally source. My diet is somewhat limited right now and I can't eat raw fish or fish eggs and limiting mercury and such so most of the fish, duck, etc. dishes weren't for me. I didn't see a salad aside from a beet salad and I hate beets. So we went with a toast, cheese and peach jam option and a few drinks as apps before we went on with our night somewhere else. I, a non-drinker for my entire life, saw a limited non-alcoholic menu but appreciated the effort to include two mocktails and NA options. I decided to go with a grapefruit, cinnamon agave, and lime soda drink and it was STELLAR. Not too sweet, minimal carbonation, loved the grapefruit and cinnamon - probably the best mocktail I've had in a while. In the end, we loved it and will be back again to try entrees. Service was excellent and they were pretty busy on a Wednesday at around 7pm. We saw the back room where they feature parties and special events and were equally as impressed by that. A small gem in the area for sure.

Lovely spot for a date. The food was a tad expensive but full of flavor so I didn't mind the price. Would love to go back if we are back in Virginia Beach.

One of the most welcoming places in the area of the oceanfront. Killer tapas plates on an ever changing menu, awesome wine list, inexpensive beers and yes, ? ?

Every dish was a delight, with massive amounts of flavor and an attractive presence on the plate. For the quality and inventiveness, the pricing is very fair. I do love a place that offers well-executed food in an environment that isn't stuffy, and this is certainly that.

Genuinely some of the best food I’ve had in VB! Tapas style. The Gnudi and Clams were two dishes I can’t stop thinking about. Delicious! Looking forward to returning and trying more.

The ambiance and overall feel of Love song & the back bar on a Friday night is such a vibe! The crowd is very diverse in the best way possible, you'll never get bored at this bar! However our back bar bartender last night was one of the rudest bartenders my friends & I ever experienced in our lives, especially a bar with such a good reputation and one everyone raves about. He was passive aggressive, and would blantly skip customers whom have clearly been waiting for over 20 mins especially women. And the drink menu after hours consists of less than 4 cocktails which were poorly made. The DJ played the best sets throughout the night! And her vibes were immaculate! Plus she happily took requestsOverall disappointed, since Lovesong has such a great reputation for locals but If your trying to get drunk really fast in the shortest amount of time after all the oceanfront bars close and want to dance with the welcoming cool people, this is your choice!
