Lunasea is a hidden gem!!! Colleen the owner has truly made this place an experience you do not want to miss out on when coming to Virginia Beach. the food is spectacular and the service equals the same. the overall vibe of Lunasea is amazing, from the corn hole game to the multiple bars, comfy seating and great DJ's We came to Virginia Beach for our friends birthday from Pennsylvania and we will be coming back for Lunasea!!!! and to see Colleen!!

Beautiful place for dinner! Unfortunately, it didn't have air inside when we went! It was 98 degrees outside! Needless to say food was not good at all! So, we left the restaurant and went to the club area. Had a blast there! But,the restaurant part? DO BETTER!

It's unfortunate, that on that particular evening, your staff, did not live up to your restaurant policy standards.
The restaurant was not busy at all and appeared only one or two booths in bar area occupied.
One of party, did walk back and stated, plenty of seating available?
I'll give you the benefit of your response, however, the evening we were there, we were not permitted to eat anyplace inside or especially in the rear area,
which we were told, by others, was where we should ask to be seated.
I assumed it was because we were a family, with children.
At one point, we thought we were being taken to the rear area, but apparently a discussion ensued amougst, your staff, refusing us to transverse any further into the restaurant. Redirecting back out front.
They attempted to seat our party, at that large open pit, whatever table with young kids. If, you have a kids menu, we were not given excess to one!
We went across the street and welcomed with arms.

Great food (table side made guac!), great drinks, and great service (Kelly)! Had a really good musician playing, and you can't beat the vibe of this place. So lush with all the live plants, and the layout is beyond cool!

Really poor customer service. They won't give you the common curtesy of responding to questions. I really wanted to see the band playing their tonight, unfortunately I won't be spending a penny at this place.

The host out front was very rude and passive aggressive. We had two families in our group but was told we have no choice but to take one check because hes putting us with one server. We decided to just take a drink even though we planned for a whole meal. We just decided we would take a drink since he offered us a place to sit but have decided to eat elsewhere. Extremely disapointed to have recommended this place. Always had great experiences in the past.
