The fried whiting was seasoned well. The chicken was okay but the potato salad, cabbage and greens were not seasoned enough for me. We also tried the peach cobbler. I wasn't impressed but I know it can be difficult to impress me when it comes to soul food. The atmosphere is always the same: quiet but people in and out for to-go orders.

I went to Martin's Soul Food to celebrate my birthday with my ZETA Soror who was celebrating her birthday also. I wanted a chattering meal. It was delicious. The Mac and cheese was the best. I ate it like ice cream. The portions were filling. I had to take some home. Martin Soul Food you get 5 stars. If I could go higher I would. I was at The Janaf Shopping Center location. On the world it said Celebrating 10 years. I see why....

I want to give more but I stumbled across them for cake. They finally had the cake I was looking for all week but because business is not booming the cakes were not fresh, had been out or something and it was just blehhh. But because I was looking them I got them then I ordered 2 pork chop sandwiches, at almost $7/pc and they were really small sized. Seems like the cook picked the smallest 2. (I got a plate before and they were larger)
