We recently had the pleasure of celebrating my husband's birthday at Max Restaurant, and I can't express enough how wonderful the entire experience was. From the moment we arrived, we felt warmly welcomed by the staff, and the evening exceeded all expectations, thanks in no small part to the incredible service we received.
A special shout-out goes to Joschelle, who made our celebration even more memorable. Not only was she attentive and kind throughout the meal, but when it came time for dessert, she led the entire restaurant in a heartfelt rendition of "Happy Birthday" for my husband. It was such a lovely and unexpected gesture, and my husband was absolutely touched. Joschelle's energy and enthusiasm were infectious, and you could tell she genuinely enjoys making guests feel special.
The entire team worked seamlessly to create a festive, warm atmosphere. The food was, of course, fantastic—every dish from appetizers to mains was prepared to perfection. But it was the personal touch and the thoughtfulness of the staff, especially Joschelle, that really made the evening stand out.
Thank you to the whole team for making my husband's birthday so memorable. It's not every day you get to experience such personalized service, and we truly felt like we were treated as part of the family. We’ll definitely be back to celebrate future milestones here!

The last time we have been to a Max’s Restaurant was more than 10 years ago when we visited the Philippines. We live in the east coast so that when we learned that there is a Max’s Restaurant in Virginia Beach we were very eager to checked it out. And it did not disappoint me. We ordered their famous Fried Chicken, Krispy Pata and Pancit Cantón. The Fried chicken is so savory with a light crispiness on the outside and a tender and moist meat. Well seasoned chicken but not overpowering that you can taste and enjoy the natural flavors of the chicken. The pancit canton noodles is cooked just right not undercooked nor overcooked and the vegetables and the meat provide a combination of flavorful texture that is so delightful. The Krispy Pata is what I expected crispy skin and tender and moist meat and the layer of fat added to it’s juicy flavor. It is so savory with or without the soy sauce dip. We would love to order the other menu but with just me and Line it was a lot. But we will definitely come back to being the whole family next month. And our Jochelle and the hostess Vel were very sweet and accommodating and respectful. The Restaurant is very clean. My overall experience is so pleasant and with the delicious food I highly recommend Max’s Restaurant in Virginia Beach. It is worth driving more than 3 hours. And actually there was that touch of nostalgic feeling as soon as I come in the door, and while enjoying the flavors that I am so familiar as I relived those days back in the Philippines visiting Max’s Restaurant there. I will also post my review of the food that we ate and the Restaurant the video that I will publish in the future, at “Lino and Line” YouTube channel.

Let it be known: Max’s Restaurant is newly open in Virginia!!!!! This is my favorite fried chicken sit down restaurant and it did not disappoint! As always, the fried chicken delivered and exceeded my expectations. Ate Vel and Ate Rose served us so well and even sang a very joyful birthday song for my uncle. Will definitely come to visit next time I’m in VA Beach.

We booked our baby gender reveal at this location and our guests enjoyed the food and the wonderful service from the staff!!! They made our day extra special. Loved the quality of the dishes and the decorations were a nice touch. We plan to celebrate more family occasions here because it was so worth it. Our hearts and bellies were full. Special thanks to Jochelle, Rose, Nelson, and the rest of the staff who provided excellent customer service throughout the entire event.

I went to this place to eat for dinner and tried their famous dessert halo-halo, I saw a lot of filipinos eat this when I went there so I give it a try and it taste delicious! My favorite part is the taro ice cream. I’ll probably comeback here to try their buko pandan and sizzling milkfish. 10/10 highly recommend to eat here, waiters are nice!
Kid-friendliness: They have high chairs for kids and they love to entertain toddlers how sweet!

Should have followed the advice of my in-laws and stayed away. Went here with my family tonight as the wife wanted check them out. As we walked in we noticed they were not busy. Granted we went when it was close to closing posted on the door even though online it said they were open for another hour. When we walked in we were not greeted by any of the servers. There were 5 servers that looked straight at me and my wife and 3 of the 5 went right by us at the door near the register and said nothing, not even acknowledged we were there. Waiting for several minutes I spoke to a server who was coming from the register and asked if they were closed or closing. She said nothing and asked us how many was dining. We said how many was dining in our party. instead of seating us or telling to hold she left and started to assist tables and we waited again. We soon left after and still with no initial acknowledgement or answer if they were closed or not. HOWEVER after we get to our car, there is another Filipino couple that goes in after we left and they get seated right away! Wow....what a way to be welcoming...such a shame. We speak Tagalog but our children don't. so if we had spoke Tagalog instead, would we have at least been acknowledged? I have been to other Max's such as the one in New jersey and in the Philippines. And THIS location is horribly lacking in all aspects of customer service, hospitality. Food was just ok from what was ordered out before. Was hoping to try dine in instead of take out like we have before. Sad just sad

I was visiting from NY and my aunt recommended we check this out for some of the delicious Filipino food and deserts. We all ended up going for her birthday. The menu was easy to read and not very overwhelming. Ordered some lumpiang ubod, pork bbq, nilagang baka w/ rice and halo-halo! Very impressive. The service was excellent and quick, but can used improvement. I’m definitely checking this place out again on my next visit.

Our first trip to Max's from Richmond!! The food was wonderful. It got very busy around lunchtime. It is a little pricey but good, authentic Filipino food!! Everything was delicious! Crispy Pasta, Lechon, Sisig, etc... Did not have the mango shakes, though.
