I was with a group of people for a conference. Everyone had gotten there food except our table, when we did get it the food was lukewarm, the plate was cold. I only took a couple of bites. 3 out of the 5 people at my table were sick that evening or the next day. . I felt like I could not complain because we actually didnt pay for the food but I wish I had. On a positive note. The salad and desert were good and the staff was nice enough.

I'm giving this 2 stars because of a few things. We really felt as though our food was already prepared and just needed to be popped into the microwave. The tuna was dried and curled on the ends, which leads me to believe that it sat for a period of time. The table was not clean. I would put this restaurant on the same level as a Friendly's or chain restaurant of that nature.

The food was delicious! The sea bass and calamari I had ordered was all the reason I would go back to this place! Our waiter seemed kinda out of it, it felt like he really didn’t want to be there or cared to serve us. The only other thing I would say left me a tad disappointed was there wasn’t many cocktail options , although they did have a very good wine selection. Other than those 2 points I’d certainly come back here. Food again was outstanding!

The food is really good but the price point is kinda high. They serve mostly seafood. The restaurant has a really nice feel. This is definitely a special occasion type of place.

Food was wonderful, service was sketchy at best. Our waiter was "new to fine dining & new to this restaurant." (In his own words) He was apologetic for being MIA most of the time. Even poor service didn't ruin our evening out with friends.

I really like going here for happy hour. They have a great selection of small plates as well as good drink specials. I went here with a few friends, and we tried the quesadilla, the Baja fish tacos, and the Asian chicken lettuce wraps, all of which were very good. This place is hopping at happy hour, with every table in the bar area, plus all the seats at the bar taken. Happy hour lasts from 4-7, which is a very generous amount of time. The service was good, and our server did a good job of checking on us and making sure we had enough food, drinks, and water. I am looking forward to checking them out for dinner.

I've always wanted to try this spot, since I love seafood & I've heard good things about this spot. Not this particular location though. I ordered the Ultimate Mixed Grill & my bf ordered the Black Angus Ribeye. My salmon was over cooked and my crab cake was burnt. The grilled shrimp were salty and the stuffed shrimp tasted like it was stuffed with dressing.. just wasn't expecting that. The manager was noticed and offered to recook both items. Once my food was returned, The salmon was okay but my crab cake was still burnt! The cook even tried to hide it by presenting it with the burnt side down, but I could obviously still taste the charred cake. I told the manager I still wasn't satisfied and she just said she will let the cook know... anywho, I should've ordered steak because the ribeye was delicious. Just sad I had to scrape off 1/3 of my crab cake in order for it to be edible.

With a reservation, we were seated as soon as we got there. It was my birthday and the hostess was very hospitable. The chef special was great! Waiter...not so much. I think he felt we weren't gonna tip well, so his service was sub-standard. Much to his dismay, we always tip 18% or more- when deserved; so our tip was as sub-standard as his service.

I was absolutely shocked at the service from this restaurant. We had a party of ten service members where only half of us received our food. After waiting for more than 4O minutes for the other orders to arrive the other half of the group decided to cancel their orders. The manager refused to come out and speak to our party about the matter and sent out the chef (cook ) from the back to explain the mix up.

Our first visit- not impressed. I made reservations for this past Saturday. Online they ask if there is any special requests/comments, I noted that we were celebrating my husbands birthday. (Ruth's Chris always decorates the table, and actually wishes the guest a happy birthday) We got to the restaurant, waited a few minutes to be seated, as it was quite busy. We got seated at a booth, which looked nice from afar. Nope... the table still had food remnants on it (rice maybe?) but had a new place setting. Not to forget to mention that my side of the booth, was wet. Not like just cleaned wet, like someone spilled water. Not a great first impression. The menu was limited, and was not the same as the online menu. Eventually the waitress came over, she was very short with us- no welcome, no specials, not even a smile. The table next to us got bread, we did not- for the entire meal. The meal was just ok. We got dessert- it's a birthday after all. I got cake and my husband had cheesecake. Both looked good. Looks are deceiving. His cheesecake had no flavor, the crust, which only looked like graham cracker crust- tasted stale, not even slightly sweet. Flat out gross. My cake- looked amazing!!! Nope. Dry. Dry. Dry. To finish: You couldn't pay me to go back.

Twice I have eaten in dining area and twice in the bar. Food is good, service is also good. Not great, but good. Good for travelers.

Food and service were good. Had a nice atmosphere with booths on the edges, tables in the middle. The booths had posts with drapes. Everything was clean. Ordered she crab soup and stuffed shrimp with potatoes and veggies. 2 diners without alcohol. Total ran ~$85 with tip. Would visit again.

I brought my parents here for lunch for restaurant week. We arrived a few mins after they unlocked the doors @1130am. There were already a few people seat at various tables. Our server was very friendly and made sure we had the opportunity to order drinks etc...being the designated driver with 2 seniors, I stuck with water, but they have a lovely and extensive offering of the spirits. Really wish I wasn't driving...Anyways, we ordered the Kung Pao Calamari-very nice, but I wasn't a fan of the sauce(too sweet for me) the Calamari batter was light and crispy. They had sliced carrots, jalapeno pepper, artichoke and a mini banana pepper(?) battered and fried too-like veggie tempera. The she crab soup is the tomato based kind-little bit of a small kick. Lots of crab meat, but it was not the lump kind. The entree was a salmon. The 3 of us got the same thing, but the the portion size was not the same. the squash/baby potato was a bit greasy, and under flavored. The arugula salad had 2-4 small pieces of citrus(grapefruit/lime). I had a drop of dressing on it so the citrus was all I ate. I took one star away for the food. The hot fresh baked bread and butter keep us busy as the wait was a bit long, but we were not in a rush. The decor is nice and spacious so it was nice to just sit there and absorb the ambiance of the restaurant and what is considered downtown Virginia Beach.

Everything tastes canned and basic. The staff is okay but even that could use a boost. I'd NEVER DINE HERE AGAIN. The mixed grill was meh. I would have to say this place is on par with Red Lobster but at these prices I expect a LOT more. The purée that came with the grill was cold and the salmon was a bit hard. I'm so sad I came here. :-(. I hear constant coughing coming from the direction of the kitchen too which isn't exactly what one wants to hear where they've decided to have dinner. Ruth's Chris is just accross the way and I'm kicking myself for not going. Damn shame too because the place looks nice enough there just isn't enough pizazz to warrant paying so much to eat...this. Keep going man. Not worth it. The check just came out and I wasn't even asked if I wanted dessert. :-( sorry but I gotta lead folks AWAY FROM HERE. You deserve a better experience!
