Mizuno Sushi

Wonderful food, helpful service, 4-top next to us was a bit too loud for my husband and me to hear each other. Probably not the normal situation. Food and service were excellent!

This restaurant is always a superb experience. The service is consistently excellent and they always seem genuinely pleased to see us. The sushi is as good as any I've ever had, including at a Michelin starred sushi restaurant in Madrid and in Tokyo. We are very lucky to have Mizuno's in our area. It's a little pricey but well worth every penny.

By far the best sushi we’ve ever had in our lives. Creative, inventive and a wonderful experience from start to finish. The Valentine’s Day special was so fun!

Went here for a quick bite and ate at the bar. Great atmosphere, service, and food. This sounds nit-picky, but my only complaint was that the seaweed used on my sushi was a bit thick and chewy, almost more like kelp, but I'm sure it might have just been me noticing a slight difference in other seaweeds I've had. Excellent food, all around.

Mizuno is consistently great. We have been dining here for almost 20 years. Can't get sushi quite like this anywhere else

The food never disappoints, it is always fresh and delicious! However, the service last night was awful. It took an hour for our sushi to come out, we were without drinks for most of the night, and then the time between the waitress dropping our check to the table and getting our cards back was over 30 minutes. Total time at the restaurant was 3 hours due to very poor service.

The is a great restaurant for an intimate dining experience. The food was delicious and offered in reasonable portions. Great date night spot.

Service was amazing, but the food was overpriced for what it is. Don't get me wrong, it was enjoyable to eat (my sushi platter was a mixed bag of 10/10 and 6/10 nigiri), but $11 for a mocktail and $50 for a California roll and a platter of 8 (admittedly large) pieces is a bit much. The only food we didn't like was the agedashi tofu, which fell apart easily, yet was held together by its sticky coating, making it difficult to pick up and a strange texture, but flavorful overall. The decor inside was trendy, but a bit sleek for my taste.

Incredible service and food. We celebrate our anniversary every year at Mizuno and this was our best night yet, which was special considering it was our 10th anniversary. We had a lovely evening, thank you so much for going above and beyond. We can't wait to return!

It almost feels like you are going into a secret castle that no one else sees. At first when you are driving by you would NEVER EVER in a million years realize that you are in one of Hampton Roads ABSOLUTE BEST Japanese restaurants by far! Everything is so fresh, and the staff is super friendly. One dish after the other would come out and we were both impressed at how delicious everything was. Not many places here in the states have ever made me feel like they matched the quality of a Japanese (in Japan) restaurant, but this place right here hits the mark!!! We are definitely are going to be comeback over and over again. Oh, one bit of advice, #1 dress up, you'll thank me later. #2, make a reservation, place fills up fast so be early and enjoy.
