The most delicious authentic fresh Japanese restaurant we have tried in Virginia Beach. Love it! We had maguro nigiri last night and it was the best!
Fantastic menu with seemingly unlimited choices and styles of sushi Very fresh seafood prepared with precision with artful presentation
Highly recommended, no matter what country you rolled though. Much appreciate.

I love Mizuno. I’ve been coming here for the last 13 years has spent a lot of time in this place and really thoroughly enjoy it. Some of the best sushi in the whole world was a little disappointed last night when I got takeout and some of the quality of the ingredients Were not as good as they usually are and they didn’t include things like wasabi ginger, or soy sauce with the order when you spend $70 on three rolls, I wouldn’t think you would have to ask for things like that definitely a place I would only go inside to eat, but wish they would do better next time for their takeout.

We must have arrived on a bad evening. But we had a birthday to celebrate! Service started off great but then she forgot about us! Drinks weren't ordered. Food took an extremely long time. And for the prices the quality just wasn't there. The salmon was a a pale pale orange not the vibrant orange you expect. No dessert offered and it took a half an hour to get the bill after we asked three servers. Our server never came back!
This is always a favor of ours! Brought some friends who are new to the area who said it was one of the best restaurants they have eaten at in Virginia Beach.

I have been going to Mizuno my favorite sushi restaurant, since it opened nearly 30 years ago, and the fish quality remains consistently high. There are a number of creative rolls I've never seen anywhere else (metal gear is a banging surf n turf combo), and many sushi options can be had either traditional or 'new' style with special sauces or garnishes. If soft shell crabs are in season they will be on the menu and you should get them! They also do a mean tempura. It's a bit pricier that most sushi places in the area, but it is also a cut above.
The service was horrible. We sat at the bar waiting for our table and it took about 5 full minutes to even be greeted. There were 3 ppl behind the bar and it wasn't busy.
The one thing about Mizuno is that it never disappoints. Sat at the sushi bar last night and when service got busy Chef engaged to make sure we were taken care of. Sushi is the highest standard in the region

Amazing in every way. Perfect for a long very important family dinner. The staff let us linger well past closing time without making us feel rushed at all. We will definitely return again! We were a party of six people and the bill was over $528. Well worth it.
Outstanding service, food and wine as always!! Love, love, love Mizuno! Thank you for a wonderful evening
Once of the top 2 sushi restaurants I've been to in the US. The crudo, the scallops on crispy rice, all of the crunchy rolls, the NYPD... Fresh, great combinations, super friendly staff. Glad we did our Reddit research before our trip, just sad we aren't local to it.
