Montego Island Grill

Hello! I got the oxtail Rasta pasta! I could not stop eating it because it was sooo good, flavorful, and had a nice kick of spicy to it. It was a huge portion, but I ate it all in one sitting. I ate in the restaurant and it’s a great place for a date night because it was empty and great for conversation.

Great service!

My price for just the pasta, water, and tip included in the receipt was about $40. A bit overpriced for 4 medium size pieces of oxtails, but I have no regrets. I would go back again tho 💃🏿 YOU GON GET THE ITIS!!!

I really loved the food I didn’t know weather I wanted to try it or not but, I seen some customers in having the reggae pasta and it looked and smelled amazing!! So Hailey suggested I tried and she was so nice to talk too a 10/10!!

This was me and my family's 1st eating spot during our family vacation. We was welcomed by the staff and made to feel at home. It was like they've known us for a long time. Our waitress was very personable, and matched our vibe while there. The owner even came our to greet us and wished us a great time while on vacation! Great food, great vibes, definitely a spot to check out!

Waited an hour for food. Food was not good. Cooks prioritized door dashers over people in the restaurant. Manager gave a discount then slapped a 20% automatic gratuity for my party of 4. Don’t waste your time here. The jerk chicken is just grilled chicken.

The service was poor. The food was mediocre. The coco bread clearly came from a package and had been stacked too long. No fountain drinks at all. Gratuity was added to the check no matter the party size. We will never return.

As a Trinidadian I didn’t care for the roti. I do understand that different islands do it differently.. The curry chicken was also underwhelming. Not worth the price

Malcolm was very excellent in my experience when coming into Montego island grill . Very enthusiastic and caring . The staff was caring and welcoming . I will def be returning .

I just got the lunch special jerk chicken white meat I asked for heavy sauce don't look like any sauce was put on i was asked if I wanted it on the side drive to far to
go back she showed it to me from behind the bar receipt says look at it before you leave no refund. Wasted $25 with automatic gratuity don't know if it's good or not it's going in the trash I refuse to eat dry chicken. My advice look before you leave and get your sauce on the side. Good Luck 🤞

This place was a big let down. I hadn’t been here before, but took my friend who had never had Jamaican food before.

Coco bread: 6/10 the ends tasted stale.
Oxtail and cabbage: 8/10; honestly those were the best things I had.
Fried Plantain: 6/10: tasted like they were just reheated and not fresh.
Rice and 0: so disappointing. Tasted old and like it was just reheated. Very dry and I needed to use the gravy from the oxtail to make it palatable.

Not worth the price at all. And a disappointment for my first time having Jamaican food in VA.
