Great restaurant with lovely customer service, food was delicious, personal favorites from what I’ve tried were the yellow daal, and the chicken biryani.

The food was delicious and the portions were a great size, but to top it off, they threw in some free gulag jamum for the kids. We have tried multiple Indian restaurants in the area and this one is our favorite so far.

I was craving indian food after a very busy shift. And ofcourse it had to be, nawab indian restraunt. I came here with my work mates, i made them try the food. It had authentic indian flavour, which i was honestly craving. An absolutely 10/10 for food and service. For sure it is my favourite restraunt. Loved it and totally recommend!!!

We came to Nawab in Virginia Beach as a party of six (including two kids), hoping for a satisfying Indian meal. While the ambience was pleasant and the service attentive, the food simply didn’t deliver.

I ordered a spicy chicken curry and made sure to ask for it spicy - what came out was mild at best and lacked depth. Overall, the dishes felt underwhelming and lacked the punch we expected from Indian cuisine.

We were hungry, and yes, the food fed us - but for the price we paid, the flavors just didn’t justify the cost. My son, a die-hard butter chicken fan, refused to eat the one served here - that alone says a lot.

If you're going mainly for the food, this place might not hit the mark.

Should be a negative rating! Poor customer service, poor management and poor preparation of food. Informed establishment of food discrepancies the same day order was placed. Female manager said that the items would be prepared at no charge. Upon calling the establishment for order replacement, a male manager stated that only one item would be complimentary and payment will be required for the other. I informed him that a female manager said that the items would be free as the establishment messed up the initial order. He stated that it's been weeks since the order. I stated that we're a military family and I would definitely post this experience on Google. Then he said both items would be no charge. Upon picking up items, the manager was forceful about tasting the food before leaving the establishment! I'll purchase Indian food from Trader Joe's (which is quite delicious and they offer 100% money back if customer is not satisfied) before ever patronizing this establishment! THIS ESTABLISHMENT IS DEFINITELY OFF OUR LIST OF RESTAURANTS!

We stopped over at this place for lunch. We ordered paneer tikka, dal makhani and the assorted bread basket. The tikka was well prepared and the accompanied sauce was really tasty. The naan and the roti was really well made and the dal was very tasty. I would recommend this place for anyone looking for Indian food in Virginia beach.

Had all the classics, and it was all good. Generous portions, perfect spice levels. Reminded me of my england days, where Indian was the only option

My friend and I visited this restaurant and ordered the goat biryani yesterday around 8:50 PM. I wanted to confirm with the front desk guy (who appeared to be Mexican) whether they were serving baby goat. During our conversation, an Indian man (wearing spectacles, likely in his 50s) interrupted us and spoke to me very aggressively and arrogantly. He said they weren’t sure if it was baby goat and seemed to blame me for my intentions, trying to escalate the situation. My intention was simply to clarify, so I chose to stay quiet.

My straightforward question was: Is it baby goat or not? Eventually, the older man himself admitted that he didn’t have the answer. As a customer, isn’t it my right to ensure what I’m eating? As we were leaving, he kept sarcastically saying, “Call me and let me know how it tastes.”

The food wasn’t particularly impressive. However, the interaction with that individual was deeply hurtful and disappointing.

Amazing food and great service! Some of the best naan I’ve ever had. I got the lamb saag and it was delicious. Yum!! I will definitely be back again.
