Going to this location for the last 6 years has been a roller coaster. It’s been awful, then they cleaned it up and got good staff, and now it’s worse than ever. The Female long blond bartender is awful. Asian manager could care less. Food sucks. Everyone in the place just seems miserable.
It’s two minutes from our house, but we will drive the extra 20 minutes to Longhorn. My fiancé was mortified with the service and attitude tonight. It was the nail in the coffin. We will never go back.

Literally the best experience I’ve ever had at an Outback!! The hostess was super friendly & then Shelby the bartender waited on us and she slayed it!! The food was cooked to perfection SHOUTOUT TO THE KITCHEN STAFF (we recently visited hilltop and I thought that was a great visit but after being at red mill today MIND BLOWN!!!) The food was perfection the service impeccable…a manager even stopped by our table and checked on us! Shelby recommended the perfect drinks and apps we took some of everything she suggested!!! This will be our new date place for sure!!! Ty Outback after all these years you just keep getting better!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Had a bad experience in Kentucky with our local outback and got some coupons for said experience. I was in Virginia Beach picking my son up from the base and went to lunch at outback. Figured they would be better than my local. I ordered a 6oz sirloin medium. It was cooked perfect. Couldn't get my knife through it. It was tough as could be. I had ordered wings along with it and sent the steak back and just ate my wings. My son's steak also was cooked perfect but also was really tough. He ate it as he was hungry and didn't have a fall back option. The service was great. The manager came out to talk to me and try to offer me something else. So great job employees!!!!! Outback steakhouse just (quality wise) isn't what it used to be apparently. I worked for the company for over 3 years. I was hoping it was just our local store. Apparently not.

Absolutely the worst service I’ve ever had. Won’t be back. My wife and I sat for 10+ minutes waiting on a server. The place wasn’t busy. We left. Much better options close by.

Worst service I've had in many years. We asked for waters to start while we check the menu. 10 minutes later she returns to take our order and mentions that we are still waiting on our drinks (water??). We ordered 2 drinks from the bar, an app to share and two entrees. When she returned with the bar drinks we still didn't have water. When we asked, her response was, "oh that's not my job, I'll ask about it.". A few minutes later someone from the kitchen brought us water. The same person brought us all of our food. Appetizer was great. Wife's meal was excellent. My prime rib was severely overcooked (medium at best but was really medium well when ordered medium rare). I waited for the remainder of the meal for the waitress to return to check on us to send it back. By the time she came by (20-30 minutes later), both of us were out of both our waters and bar drinks, and my wife had completed her whole meal. She seemed surprised that I just wanted to send it back at that point and have it taken off the bill instead of ordering a new one.
I must also add a few notes: 1) There were less than 10 occupied tables in the entire place with two other wait staff....the waitress wasn't busy she just chose to spend our whole meal standing at the hostess station talking to her friend. 2)I never have and never will blame wait staff for kitchen errors...I honestly wasn't upset about the overcooked prime rib...easy fix and we all move on. I was upset that she chose to ignore us for our entire meal and not come check on us even one time to see how the food was, if we needed more drinks etc. 3)Finally, I love (hate) the practice of handing me a credit card machine to select a tip while you stand over top of me. Having worked in restaurants before myself, I am nearly always a very generous tipper. I have taught my kids to do the same. But if you can't even pretend to do your job, how can you honestly expect any kind of tip? You got one (far less than my normal, far more than you deserved) to ensure the bartender and expediter were taken care of.

Was surprised to see an Outback Steakhouse here around where I live, went inside and it is the same as the one I go to on First Colonial plus the same service, atmosphere and quality food! I'm glad I found the restaurant so close to where I live!

This location is what one would expect of the chain and is clean and well maintained. The staff currently (Jan2025) are undermanned with servers being bussers. With this in mind getting drinks refilled and anything you would want should be asked of prior to or when the food comes out as the manning issue puts strain on the servers. Even management was cleaning tables and taking orders.
So if you are looking to be waited on hand and feet, look elsewhere until staffing can meet those expectations. If wanting to go to an Outback Steakhouse or similar this place would suffice BUT KEEP IN MIND STAFFING IS SHORT, and patience from customers would be appreciated for good expectations.
