I bought a cachapa and the presentation was not good and the flavor much less so. I tried to get my money back or something in exchange for the cachapa and they told me that nothing could be done. Supposedly the cachapas are ready in the morning, but the food is supposed to be fresh. In short, very bad service, I don't recommend it, they even charge you separately for the sauces for the empanadas👎
Definitely coming back, I just wish they had more staff, we had to wait a long time to be served, the place was full with only one server for the whole place

I liked it! The cachapa (corn arepa) in my opinion is better not to offer it and that's it! I know it's difficult to do it correctly. The grill was good, but I would have liked more options of types of meat. The service at the mess is very good

We’ve come here 4 times so far and our most recent visit was by far the most disappointing. The food is always very good and comes out quickly. Pabellón, empenadas, arroz, caraotas, arepas, it’s all really well made. But our last visit was very disappointing. We were the only customers on a Saturday at 1:30 PM. We always sit outside since the music inside is so loud and interrupting but with the cold weather we had little choice. Music so loud you can barely even think let alone have a conversation, not to mention it’s just a YouTube DJ on the tv. To their credit it is a very authentic Venezuelan experience. Loud music, employees yelling, and all the polar and frescolita you can drink. Service is usually very good but this time our server only visited the table once, never refilled my wife’s very empty fountain soda but asked me if I wanted another beer even though it was over halfway full. We’re the only customers on the whole restaurant, you can refill a soda.
I also should point out a fountain soda is 4 dollars. 4 dollars. That is insane for the amount you get and it’s only made worse when they can’t be bothered to refill yours a single time over the course of an hour visit.
During this hour what I had to guess was the owner was trying to open his liquor cabinet and failing. That was kind of entertaining to see happening, especially when the cooks came out and tried to help.
I’ll update this review when we inevitably go again and hopefully have better service. I’d love to give this place the 5 stars it 100% should have gotten but this last visit really left us disappointed. This restaurant deserves to be packed with people and slammed with business but it’s not, and I think we saw some of the reasons why. Please for the love of god turn down the music, have some professionalism in front of house, and make this a more welcoming experience. This isn’t Caracas, it’s Virginia and you need to understand the market you’re in.

This place was very good. I always went with my husband or friends. I have recommended it to many. But a shame, my son went with his wife, and she found a hair inside a cheese roll. This last time, the coffee, which was always delicious, this time, cold, the cup almost empty and really, it was not good. 🫤

Walked in workers were talking and cleaning. I said I have an order toleld them the name. They said it would be up on a couple minutes 7-8 minutes later still no order. I ask again the waitress said a couple more minutes ANTHER 10 min still no food. I'm about to leave out the store she said its coming 5 min later no food. The order was literally TWO FOOD ITEMS AND A DRINK SMH

Food and service was great, I just wish they had a bigger place. Some other customers were being pretty loud and wouldn't be so bad if they weren't 3 feet away from us.

Relatively expensive and not very good dishes. Everything is fried and rather dry.

Good afternoon, how is it possible that when buying 9 empanadas they tell me that I have to pay for the sauce for the same empanada? When each empanada costs almost 9 Dolores, I can't explain it.

This place is wonderful & they have vegan options (the veggie arepa without cheese; which means you're getting an arepa full of black beans, plantains, and generous heaps of fresh avocado). Their arepas are the perfect portion size (might not seem big enough at first but you'll find yourself full before you're able to finish). Delicious plantains, options for everyone, and a lively spot that's great for good food, reggaeton vibes, and people-watching.
Vegetarian options: Their combo veggie arepa is an excellent choice, and they have a handful of sides that'll keep you drooling! Not the kind of place with a laundry list of veggie options, but a stellar few that are even better than a bunch of very mediocre choices.
