An iced coffee is about $4, and you get the coffee yourself which is pretty nice to pick what you want and do it how you like. But if you want a latte it's like $6-7 which is pretty crazy. It's a little overpriced but it's not too bad. I got a caramel iced coffee, not too caramely but the coffee was pretty good, the other drink was a caramel iced latte which did taste better. I also got a breakfast sandwich, it was three hours after opening and they only had two options for bread at the time which sucked so I got a sesame seed bagel, with bacon, Swiss (also only two cheese options), obviously with egg. It was a little burnt but it was still pretty good. The cheese was actually melted so that was nice. They also didn't really have many pastry options left. They should probably start having extra stuff for restocking. Service was pretty good, they could probably use more staff we did have to wait a while for our stuff. It is pretty nicely decorated inside as well.

Coffee was very good! Prices are great for the area. Food was good though they messed up my bagel by adding pb to it lol but they offered to remake it and I could tell they felt bad. Def a good place to go to get away from tourist stuff!

Extremely Disappointed – Won’t Be Returning

I’ve been coming to Perked Up for years and always considered it one of my favorite spots in VB — the coffee, the service, the whole vibe used to be unmatched. But after my experience today, I won’t be coming back.

The woman working — was hands-down the rudest employee I’ve ever encountered at any coffee shop. She yelled at us multiple times just for trying to enter the shop, saying to keep the door closed, even though we were clearly just walking in like normal customers. When we politely asked where the ice was, she turned around, gave us the nastiest look, and snapped, “I’m clearly working and doing something right now — you’re going to have to wait.” Moments later, she turned around and yelled at a child.

I’ve never experienced anything like that here before. It was uncomfortable, unwelcoming, and honestly just shocking. I hate to leave this kind of review for a place I once loved, but people should be aware of how poorly customers are now being treated. So disappointing.

Small coffee shop just minutes from the beach. I stopped in while trying different shops in the area. They had some unique seasonal flavors including honey lavender and Dubai chocolate. The staff were friendly and quick. I’ll definitely stop by here again.

Cute little shop limited seating. Family and I was on the go so we didn’t get to order the food. We had to opt on the bakery items which I feel you can definitely buy at your local Costco or BJs. Im going to return and try the quiche I’m forward to change my review into a 5.

Was so excited to visit what I thought was a cute and quaint beach coffee shop with my family. Instead I was greeted with hostility. My husband asked the cashier where the restroom was. She informed us that that they do not have restrooms. My husband asked “even for paying customers?” She reiterated that they do not have any restrooms for customers and instead directed us to go across the street to CVS to use their facilities. On the way out I told my husband that I thought it was against local law to sell food and beverages without providing restrooms and what seemed to be a worker coming on shift rudely yelled at me from the doorway after I already left the shop “Actually it’s not against local laws. There is another bathroom really close. It’s not a big deal.” I found it extremely unprofessional to yell at a potential customer from your doorway who has already left your restaurant while bystanders observe. Would not recommend this place simply because of this experience. Couldn’t tell you about their food or beverages since I didn’t get that far. Have never seen a restaurant or cafe not offer restrooms for paying customers.

Found a hidden gem while we visited Virginia Beach such a cute little spot in the heart of Virginia Beach. Great coffee, great breakfast sandwiches at a reasonable price. I took my kids and they absolutely loved it. The wait time was very minimal and they had outdoor and indoor seating.

Very much a little hidden local Coffee shop gem. Had good Coffee lattes and excellent service. Cute interior. Doesn't look like much on the outside but very nice on the inside. Worth the stop.

I visited this coffee shop recently, but I was disappointed to find that they do not provide a restroom for customers. Instead, I was directed to go across the street to CVS Pharmacy to use their facilities. Unfortunately, this experience has led me to decide not to return to this café.

Definitely felt perked up after my custom coffee and warm egg & swiss cheese croissant ! Love the service, ambience, NOT blaring music, and genuine welcoming vibe from staff. Wish I lived here so I could be a regular! 👏👏☕️☕️😊😊

Really nice breakfast spot. I went mid week and had no wait. The quiche was excellent and the banana bread was phenomenal. I'd definitely eat here again the next time I'm in Virginia beach. The atmosphere is nice as well. Great little shop!
