Holy Wuhan this stuff is good. When I get Chinese I'm looking for sauced up crunchy chicken bites with white rice and that's exactly what I got!

This is my favorite Chinese restaurant in Hampton Roads. The service is excellent. The food is delicious. While it may not offer the choices of the most exotic or varied restaurants found in NYC or Montreal, it has a wide offering; all of which is prepared well. The restaurant is nicely appointed and clean with the detraction of being located in a shopping center, but this is de rigour for Hampton Roads.

Peter Chang's is a gem! My family and I had an exceptional experience with their delicious offerings. We savored the orange chicken, General Tso's chicken, and sesame chicken--all delivered hot, fresh, and promptly. The flavors were spot-on for American Chinese cuisine, and the service was outstandingly friendly. It's a fantastic value for top-notch food and service. It was great after a day of shopping!

What I liked most is that I could go online and place an order. While this was a great time saver, the lack of picture showing the products was a negative to me as every place doesn't cook items the same so a picture reference would have been nice. The actual inside of the place is inviting. LED lights and dim lighting, big tables that seat parties of 10 or more with spinning capabilities to promote sharing of food. The wait time was minor as well. Now, the food was just okay, the general was the best, I also got a six piece salt and pepper chicken which was just okay at best. The most disappointing item had to be the fried rice. It was bland and unappealing. Truly made the entire meal experience one that I would not want to have again. It sucks because it was close to my job but I guess I'll have to go a little further for Chinese.

Best Chinese food anywhere in Norfolk or Virginia Beach! Although it's not cheap, the quality of the dishes are outstanding. Having moved to the area about 4 years ago, we have searched high and low for a place that everyone likes. Average cost of each dish is $3 - $4 more than other places, but everyone loves the flavor, variety and the choices. I love the Kung Pao Shrimp, the Golden Chicken and my wife loves the Chicken Broccoli. The menu has a number of non-traditional items all worth trying.

I try to bring everybody I know to this restaurant. A lot of people are hesitant. “It’s so expensive! Why is this Chinese food $20 for a meal!!” I have to explain that it’s a blend of traditional with some Americanized dishes. That this is a completely different experience from any of the thousands of ‘No. 1 Chinese’ restaurants across the country. I have to explain every time this is NOT P.F. Chang’s. P.F. Chang’s is NOTHING compared to PETER CHANG.The fried rice? The best fried rice I have EVER experience. This fried rice is LIFE CHANGING. Perfectly cooked. Excellent portion, even as a side to the meal. Now look, I’ll be honest. I’m a little scared to try new foods. Luckily, they have a dish here that I like so much that if it was the only thing they served (as long as it came with fried rice) I would be perfectly happy. Golden. Mountain. Chicken. Spicy. I’ve had the non spicy version. But it just doesn’t compare in the unique flavor profile that the spicy version has. If you like spicy food and you, like me, are afraid of eating pigs feet, or whole fishes, or chitterlings or whatever other traditional Asian cuisines us Americans are not accustomed to, get the golden mountain chicken (spicy). It’s like a general tso or sesame chicken, but the meat is fresh and the flavors are great.I just wish they had a lunch sized portion….

Food came out fresh but it needed some flavor not your average Chinese restaurant it was a more upscale atmosphere. My sweet and sour chicken sauce was different but not in a good way it was already came on the chicken but they made sure not to leave a drip of extra sauce anywhere so it made it dry. The lime in was dry too definitely would not go back.

We are a regular and enjoy the food and service. Always enough to take home. Always a lot of people but never feels crowed. A great place to eat

We got soup to-go and were super excited, unfortunately, when you pay $7 per quart, you don't get a full quart of soup (and hardly any wontons in the wonton soup) Beware!!

Loved how cute and tasty this restaurant was. The service was fast and they were kind. The portions are amazing I love that I had leftovers to take home. Husband and I ordered and then used the extra plates to share. The lomein and fried rice were delicious. Just one star off because it was a bit greasy for my liking. Not too greasy but just more than I'd like. I definitely want to return.

Is Peter Chang not paying his employees (servers) or what??????? Your customers are not employers of your servers!!!!!!! Very bad experience I had. I have been going there for a decade now and also have referred a lot of friends and family. Now I will never go there again. Also, I will encourage the people I referred to stop going there.
