The food is decent. We did take out here for Mother's Day. They missed an item in my order, but when I called to ask for a refund, they said they could not do partial refunds. I either had to go back and get the dumplings or I had to accept a "credit" with the restaurant for the next time we go. Which isn't often. So that's basically lost money. I find it unacceptable that a restaurant can't issue a refund for items they've missed from an order. That just seems really basic.

People are very sweet that work there. Atmosphere seems very safe for covid. Everything is clean and covered. I gave them a 3 because honestly I think the food is very over priced. I got bang bang shrimp they were completely over cooked almost hard even. The golden mountain chicken is a go to always and that was good. I ordered combination fried noodles. I like the noodles but I wasn't a big fan. I had a sour taste like the cabbage was old or whatever type of greens are in there. Honestly Im not trying to bash his place I just don't think it is worth the price.

Just came from here. Ordered stir fry vegetables, add chicken, and fried rice. Got my food and my fried rice was so dry and bland even though it had egg in it, chicken was white and didn’t even taste like chicken, the vegetables look barely steamed to say the least, and the sauce on it was not remotely tasteful. My fiancé didn’t even recommend me to eat it. I called the waiter over and asked for a difference dish and she asked me if there was a way she could fix the dish(?) We told her no because the sauce they had put on it was all over the food. I ordered a new plate, something different and every was fine. Got the bill and our bill was $63. I’m like what?! My fiancé checks and notices she still charged us for the original I had one bite of. She(Shelly) and the manager told us that they would not take the meal off our check just because “I simply didn’t like it”. She gave a “discount” aka only $3 off for the chicken. Still ended up paying $60. I will never eat from here again.

I was quite disappointed that they didn't have the scallion pancake available. My heart was set on having it.
Service was really good and the food came out quick and fast beautiful dining experience on the inside with the Koi fish Tank and the beautiful ceilings and tables. Food was really good highly recommend the dumplings or noodles!

I had the crispy pork belly and stir fried lamb. Both were excellent. I always say low spice because they use a lot of hot pepper. Food was hot, fresh and delicious. Service was friendly. I will definitely be back.

They nicely accommodated my husband and I. We were craving for the hot and numbing hot pot. It never goes wrong for us to order this when we are in need of something hot and spicy on a chilly winter day. The place was empty since we came at a time near closing. They made sure we were satisfied. my husband and I, had their full attention. I was sadly bummed they ran out of their bubble scallion pancake. It would've been great with my entree. But instead we got the wood-eared mushroom as our appetizer to eat with our hot and numbing hot pot. For $19..the hot and numbing hot pot is good to share. It comes with a side of rice, sweet potato noodles, fish, chicken, beef, cilantro, and veggies.. The wood-ear mushroom has a nice crunch with the chilies. It's prepared cold, these mushroom are a great addition.. I love the prickly pear taste and aroma and the black vinegar flavors... This is the closest place to having a taste of a chinese food that isn't just cantonese. I love sichuan style foods because their spiciness is addicting! Peter Changs has many franchises in the regions of Virginia like williamsburg, richmond and Virginia Beach.. They all have similar dishes but not all restaurants serve the some special items not in the menu. For this location there are more options for people that prefer the authentic chef special selections. You just have to ask ahead of time for certain special requests. I recommend the fried eggplant, double cooked pork belly, lamb stir fried hot pot, hot and numbing hot pot, hot and spicy specials and dan dan noodles, wood eared mushroom with thai chilies, szechuan chicken and chili oil, and scallion bubble, salt and pepper pork/shrimp/lobster, and house special flounder.. There is so much to try here that accommodates for everyone's taste pallet. It's not all spicy. They make sure to adjust the spice for those that requests it. The flavors are good, it's a winner for my family and kids.

If you are looking for great Chinese food, this is it! All of the food is prepared fresh with excellent ingredients. This is not your normal "mom and pop" Chinese restaurant, the food is exceptional. If you like spicy they have you covered. I have ordered spicy from several other Chinese restaurants and there are two or three chilies in the mix, but here there was more like 20! It was delicious and very full of flavor.

Great service. Food did not arrive at the same time for our party of two. It was lukewarm when brought to the table. General Tsao chicken was sweet, nothing spicy- even the pepper had no flavor. Fried rice was dry and hard. Green beans tasted like a salt shaker had been emptied on them.Really wanted this place to work out. I might try it again once COVD-19 has passed...
