There’s always this old man yelling at me about my order and he’s nice to everyone else. He pisses me off and one day I’m going to yell back in his face. He’s got something against me before I order the N6 with the regular pho noodles but for some reason that upsets him enough to lecture me.

amazing pho and service!! incredibly friendly and welcoming atmosphere, as soon as we came in we were seated and offered water. i had pho no.4 which was absolutely delicious! food was fresh, well seasoned and perfect for winter. we also ordered all 3 appetizers, my personal favorite was the chicken wings which were very crunchy and perfectly seasoned. i loved the workers who were especially kind. would highly recommend coming here :)

I walked in to order a to go order for the first time. Front desk bold guy was extremely rude and apparently does not want our business. Talking to others and heard that he has always been this way, not sure why he is still working there, maybe the owner doesn’t care about money

Been here since I was a kid. I know most owners and kids that run most of it now. It’s so sweet now you might as well go to pho house and eat a bowl of Che (dessert)

I came in looking to get some good food and was turned away because I think the host said there is no cooks? As I looked into a kitchen full of people. And half the restaurant was full with people eating. They were also doing what looked like to-go orders. But I just said okay and left. Not sure what that was about

The pho was good. The meat could have been better because it was a little dry. The restaurant had a leak during a bad rain storm by the front door. The staff was friendly. The food came out Fast. The portion was a good size. I would come back again if I needed a quick food option.

I’ve been eating at Pho79 on Va. Beach Blvd for 20 years because their food has always been good. Atmosphere is just okay but that is not important here in this review. “The service” last night was rude and awful. My friend and I walked in at 7:29pm, hours on door says open to 8pm. The closing manager came over and knows I’m a regular and said “Do you know we close at 8pm?” He was clearly agitated that we were there. I said yes, I’m aware and that is why we came at 7:30pm. We ordered without looking at the menu immediately. He never asked how we were, no smile just plainly agitated that we came. There were 6 other occupied tables when we arrived.
At 7:55pm all tables had left except for us and one other table of 2. We were only half finished with our small bowls of soup. We were rushing the whole time, their soup is always hot and even though the soup tasted amazing we wanted to leave from there, due to feeling like the manager did not want us. So, at 7:55pm paid $31 for 2 small bowls of soup and asked for soup containers to take home the leftovers. I wrapped the sprouts and basil in napkins, no box was given for that and we left.
So here is My Suggestion, Pho lock your doors at 7pm or 7:30pm, so No new customers can enter. This way the closing manager and staff can leave by 8pm. Keep the inside door handle unlocked so inside guests can leave. If you keep offending your regulars or any customers they will stop coming. One more incident, the busser who was cleaning tables bumped the heavy cart on wheels so hard into my booth seat, that my whole seat moved out of place with me in it. Never said sorry, never asked if I was okay?
I’m a former server and both behaviors are offensive and unacceptable. Obviously customers at this location are not valued. Just Lock your doors at 7p or 7:30p to keep your customers from coming into eat, so you can go home exactly at 8pm. We sat in the car and watched the last table leave at 8p and the closing manager walked out a few minutes after that.
