Can I on lunch break today and sat at bar. They had a decent lunch crowd. I was at least give a menu and the bar. Lady said she would come back. Never did. Sat for 20mins lunch crowd dying down. Waitress came back behind bar to count her tips… never acknowledge nor came back to my end to take my order. Sat 5 mins more, then left. When next door to Guads…. Serviced right away. ( I wanted to give Viet 79 a try but….. probably won’t return to this location 🫤

This place has gone down hill fast ! I used to frequently come here once a week , until they upped prices , changed management I assume and took off the lunch menu completely . Not sure why they have a bar if they have no one knows what any type of liquor is . I got a mixed drink and was charged for a full soda plus 6 dollars for a well bourbon .
It’s also 10 dollars for a soup with no meat . Flavor of food isn’t bad , it’s the service and the prices ! Will not be back

I walked in just now there was no one to serve me or even give me a menu at the front i sat myself at the bar and saw two of the workers having a conversation at a table. I waited for them but they never got up to even greet me or even acknowledge me or to ask what i was here for.so i left. It was very rude .

I tried to call in the order but never got an answer so decided to just go in. Since we were there, we ate in instead of taking out. They weren't busy but still too understaffed to answer the phone. Got my usual p1. The noodles were mushy and I opted to just take off the order as it would've likely came out the same since she expressed they don't speak English and just make it how they make it. My son dealt with it but he was still hungry as there was very little meat or noodles as compared to how it used to be. The portion size is even smaller now and it's been getting smaller over the last year with the pricing going higher. I'm going to need to find somewhere else because I will not be wasting my time or money coming here again. They have really ruined what used to be an amazing restaurant.

Ive been going here for years and its been a staple for me but todays experience left a bad taste in my mouth. I called to order pickup when I was heading home. The woman that answered asked to put me on hold, which I said sure too. But she didn’t really put me on hold, she just set the receiver down and walked away. I could hear her take an order then walk away. After waiting for 5 mins on hold, I hung up and tried to call back but since she just forgot I was “on hold” the line was busy for at least 5 more minutes. When it finally started ringing again she never answered and it went to voicemail. So in the 15+ mins it took to get there I still couldn’t call my order in. I was annoyed but I’m not feeling well and this was the only thing I felt comfortable eating. I decided to go in to order take out, hoping it was busy and that’s why. When I walked in there was 3 tables (7 ppl), 1 dirty table, and one guy waiting on take out so not busy at all. She didn’t acknowledge me for awhile. When she did, she said I’ll be with you in a minute and disappeared to the back. Another 5ish mins she comes out, talks to a table while holding the take out for another 5+ minutes. At this point I walked out because I’d been trying to place an order for about 30 minutes and still wasn’t able to. It’s the worst service I’ve ever had there. Typically I can call ahead and it’s ready in 15 mins or less.

Amazing Vietnamese food. The pho and bun bo hue had so much flavor and so filling. The goi cuốn was so fresh too, and washing it all down with the Thai Iced tea especially on hotter days was fulfilling.
The atmosphere really made me forget that I was still in Virginia Beach. Staff and service are also kind and fast. I will absolutely be coming back.
