Pulcinella Italian Restaurant

I wrote the following review after eating at Pulcinella on April 30. As I was preparing to post it, I found the posting from the restaurant owners which I have pasted at the end of my review. My wife and I led a group of 30 to Pulcinella Italian Restaurant after attending a play at Regent University. While the restaurant has a capacity of only about 45, they handled our group amazingly well. They were ready for our arrival, staffed appropriately, provided excellent attentive service, and served delicious meals. Out of our group of 30, I would estimate there were 20 different meals and that did not seem to create any problem for the kitchen. All the meals were proclaimed excellent and servings were plentiful. [Note, they also handled wali-in customers at the 4 tables we were not occupying.] The only minor delay was making sure all the bills were distributed to the appropriate individuals – most were singles – but that was finalize well. We would definitely return and highly recommend Pulcinella for anyone including group dining. Pulcinella Italian Restaurant May 4, 2022 Unfortunately, all good things must come to an end. Sunday, May 8th, 2022 will be Pulcinella’s last day. Pulcinella, you have been very dear to me. From 2009- 2022 I’ve poured every ounce of my blood into you, my family and I. You will be something that I will always hold very close to my heart. To all the customers that have followed me throughout this journey, thank you, thank you so much for trusting me to feed you and your families. You will never be forgotten. I appreciate all the regulars and I am sorry that this is the end of our journey but I will never forget you. From our meat lasagnas to our amaretto tiramisu, we will miss being at the restaurant and we will miss seeing you. Pulcinella was more than just a restaurant, we’ve watched our customers start families, lose family members, we’ve watched children grow and with every child we will miss giving you cookies and holding you guys up by the kitchen window so you can ring the kitchen bell. This is a sad moment but a very needed step to continue our lives. Again, I want to say thank you to everyone who showed me and my family love in such a difficult time and we will miss you. Please come visit the restaurant for our last week. This isn’t entirely the end so please keep in touch to see what else we have to offer. Thank you Corsale Family!

Great place to dine! Staff was very attentive to needs. Restaurant was clean and neat. Food was delicious! We will go back.

The wrong meal came out for me. We had to remind the server we ordered salad. If you like veal Marsala do not get it from here. The sauce is watery. Not very tasty or seasoned.

Excellent pizza and real Italian food. The "amaretto" cake is so good that it's almost sinful... And the Cannoli: a superb Italian experience...

I have been craving spaghetti carbonara for a while and I found that the reviews on this place said it was very good there. finally made it up there for lunch today was great meal very tasty. I think that craving may be taking care for a while. The owners/staff and service was exceptional, very friendly.

Authentic Italian cuisine. No fine dining but excellent food. Just one issue identified. They don't have Limoncello or Grappa for a digestive but at least espresso corretto with Sambucca.

Always good food. Service was exceptional given the small staff and large number of guests that night. Covid staffing problems like everywhere, but they handled it with aplomb.

First time in tonight! I can promise it will not be my last! Food and service was amazing! Thank you!

The spinach lasagne lacked mozzarella - maybe that's just their recipe. The food was lukewarm, but not hot. This is our second visit in the past couple of months with the same result. Nice family restaurant, but nothing to write home about.

Great food and service, authentic taste and reminded me of when I was in Italy ??, will definitely return and try the calamari next.....
