So me and my 1 year old just came here to get something small to eat before leaving the beach for the day, the lady was so nice so I thought I was struggling with my kid because he was hungry and tired after I paid for my food I was distracted and forgot to sign the gratuity slip but I did see they automatically add 20% gratuity so I was like ok no problem the next day I see an additional 10$ tip was added on top of what I had paid mind you I got a kids meal and a salad and an shrimp appetizer all which came to 40$ because it included gratuity to see they took advantage of me and added a tip that I did not authorize because I was distracted dealing with my son having a meltdown really shows why this place was so slow I walked and nobody was really there and now know I why they are a scam and be very careful. Thank God I can dispute with my bank and they will ask for evidence of me signing the slip otherwise they may have gotten away with this.

Highly recommend the blue swing chairs to take in the sights and enjoy swinging with your loved ones. We got the crab dip and chips 7/10 Mom got the VB Crush, she loved it The tuna salad was on point 8/10 Kids cheeseburger and fries 8/10 Crab cakes with green beans 8/10 Fried seafood platter 8.5/10 Blue swing 9/10 Ocean view, boardwalk and people watching? 10/10
Don't let the atmosphere of this place fool you. The food is all of poor quality and they add a gratuity to every check. The wait staff was very nice but the food was terrible for what we paid. There were bugs in our drinks, and the glider we sat at outside was soaking wet on one side. Also we only even picked the place because we looked at the website and saw the menu for town center and not the oceanfront location. The waitress acknowledged this and apologized but refused to make any of those items from that menu. Just go somewhere else you'll be a lot happier.

My best friend and I came here on our trip to VA Beach. We ordered a round of drinks and when they came my friend's drink had an ant in the straw. No biggie, things happen. We order her another drink and this one ALSO has a bug in it. We don't replace the drink and wait for our food. We both ordered chicken items. I got the lemon chicken while my friend got a chicken burger. The chicken taste boiled, was dry, tasted like nothing, and was ultimately a huge disappointment. Additionally, they have a compulsory tipping system that automatically tips when the bill comes. I'm all for tipping staff but 11+ dollars on a 40$ order is insane. 0/10 stars... Atleast the staff was really sweet.

I took my children on a mini beach trip and went to several different restaurants. None compared to the customer service that Quirks gave us! I’m a single mom and was definitely looking frazzled and tired 😆 there was absolutely no judgement (as I received extremely rude service at several other places). Lauren was FABULOUS! she was the perfect definition of what I think a waitress should be. She was personable,professional not overly intrusive and non neglectful, she was accommodating,kind and responsive! Lauren went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed she loaded us with refills and didn’t bother us every five minutes. My two year old was all over the table and around it and she didn’t mind one bit not one rude look from her or the bus boy (he was kind as well). The food was phenomenal and very well portioned! I had the fried flounder with french fries hush puppies and a side salad and green beans, my daughter had the cheeseburger and a side of fries! The burger was huge and well worth the money (2 patties) the fish was perfectly cooked and the fries were yummy! The green beans were seasoned well with minced garlic and the side salad was fresh! The fries were cooked crispy and delicious! My debit card was blown by the wind under the wooden swing table (had to be me 😝) and three gentlemen who were also patrons helped lift the table for me to grab it! Lauren was trying to help lift it herself at first! I didn’t even realize I had sheer leggings that were see through until I got home and had to laugh those poor folks!!! We had a table with wooden swinging seats and a nice ocean view of the peer! It was our last stop before leaving and definitely thankful that Eddies was rude and we chose Quirks instead! All things happen for a reason! We will definitely be back again Yah Willing. And thankful for people who are still down to earth and kind. I absolutely love critiquing food and service especially when it’s a job well done! I was a chef and still serv safe certified and have previous experience in the restaurant field in every position you can think of for over 20 years so if I say well done you can count on it! Here on a vacation with my friends, walked by quirks going to the beach and thought it would be a cute restaurant to try out. We sat ourselves outside and were helped immediately, but out waitress was not very friendly at all. The nachos were good as an app. We than got our food (which all came out at different times ). My one friend waited 10 minutes longer than anyone else, just for them to bring out the wrong thing. She wanted the one crab cake meal which was 19… they brought out the two crab cake meal for 32. The waitress apologized and fixed it but than on her reciept just discounted 20%? instead of the price difference of the two? The waitress was also passive agressive about the whole thing the whole time. We saw her walking around with food to other tables not knowing where to give the food because she could no keep track. The food was meh, most of the menu that was online was not on the menu they handed us, overpriced for sure. Also have automatic gratuity of 20%… none of us felt that was fair with the service we received.

I highly recommend anyone who likes seafood to check out Quirks Oceanfront. I got the Seafood Platter and a Virgin Colada (it has a new name, I can't remember what it's called), and I definitely wasn't disappointed. Hushpuppies alone I would travel across the country for. They're nice and sweet, and I just couldn't stop eating more! All of the food was nicely breaded (not too much) and seasoned in a way I've yet to experience before, and nothing was greasy. Everything tasted fresh, with even the mashed potatoes having a homemade texture to it. It was quite refreshing, and honestly, this is the first seafood restaurant I've been to that was this high quality. Although I did wish I shared my platter, it was a lot more than I could take.My server was also really nice and respectful. My only issues were with the outside dining, and that's the swing-seat that we sat at was missing a way to expand the table on one of the sides and that the music was too loud.

We didn't order anything, got up, and left. It was clear she did not want us there. Customer service is a major problem. Quirks needs to fix it. We walked down to Pelons instead.
