Had pulled pork (moist and good), biscuits and gravy, and French toast… home fries are a good hash brown substitute. Wife had the full omelette. All was wonderful!, great coffee too. Nice staff. Very reasonable prices.

Great breakfast dinner in the VA beach area, cheap prices!

Friendly cafe with a laid back vibe and delicious food. Poutine, sour dough chicken salad sandwich, and okra were outstanding. We will definitely go back next time we visit the area.

I honestly do not know why I never gave our most frequented restaurant a 5 star review. The service is always quick and the food is great.

The food was just plain good. My favorite was the sausage links. My family loved the pancakes. The bacon was nicely cooked and soft. Good place to have a nice breakfast in Virginia Beach, though it's off the boardwalk

I never ate here when I lived in town and I regret that I missed out on that. Now every time I come back for a visit, I always try to come and get the biscuits and gravy and a hot cup of tea. Maybe the pancakes if I’m feeling it, because those are really good too. This is not some boujee place you go for the latest trends. It’s delicious, reliable diner food at a good price, served by kind and attentive staff. I heard people complaining about the neighborhood when they came in around Thanksgiving, and they seemed like out of town travelers visiting family. If you’re new or just visiting, the neighborhood around the restaurant is fine, you’re not at anymore risk here than anywhere else you’d go in VA Beach (lived here on and off for 20 years, so I’m very familiar with the area). Please come and try this place. Hope to keep coming here for the next 20 years to make up for not coming the previous 20.

I am a retired person 77-years old. I visit my daughter in Virginia Beach on a quarterly basis. The week that I am there, I eat at Rick's at least once daily, and some times more. It's a very relaxing atmosphere, service is great, the food never disappoints, and it has a real down home atmosphere.

Food was fresh and homemade. We were disappointed at other restaurants we tried during our visit, but Ricks Cafe does not disappoint. Definitely worth the drive. Be sure to try the brownie delight dessert.

This place is great for breakfast. A lot of people come here. The food was very good and well portioned. The atmosphere was pleasant and had a nautical theme to it, so there were lots of model ships and stuff around the room. The servers were very pleasant and attentive.
