Rockafeller's Restaurant

It was our first time dining at Rockafeller's. Unfortunately, it was the last time as, November 2nd was their last day of operation. The wait staff were very attentive and friendly. The food was so delicious! I got the salmon and it was cooked perfectly. It came with green beans and rice. They were delicious too. We had the chocolate mousse for dessert. Awesome! I'm sorry I didn't know about this jewel sooner. 5 stars!

Rockafellas will be closing on Sunday, November 2. There is not too much availability left so book your seats now! Thursday night, the bar was packed, and the restaurant was filled up by 6pm. Our overall experience was wonderful, but service was a little slow - we should have expected that on one of the last nights open for this locally owned and beloved restaurant. Our dinners arrived before the wine service, which was really the only faux pas. We ordered the award winning she crab soup and oysters rockafellas, and they did not disappoint. The portions were generous on all four entrees. And the chocolate eclair pie was to die for. You may see the soup packaged for sale locally if everything goes as planned!

My husband and I are foodies and love to try new places. Sadly, we had never been to Rockafeller's until 10/27. The food we ate is truly some of the best food ever. The She Crab soup was out of this world. I had the char-crusted mahi and he had the surf nd turf. Both were wonderful. We have reservations for Saturday, 11/1, to go back one last time for the soup!!

I had the fish of the day sandwich (flounder), nice and crispy cut to bite size not a traditional long fish on top of the bread. Got to visit them one last time before they close next month.

An amazing dining experience! We decided to take advantage of the early dinner specials, and we were not disappointed in the least. The food and adult beverage was delicious and beautifully plated. Alexandra was our server, and. we could not have asked for a better, attentive server. So sorry to hear Rockefeller's will be closing their door in the very near future.

Sorry to hear our favorite beach restaurant is closing their doors in November. Glad I got to visit yesterday to enjoy my favorite bacon wrapped barbecue shrimp. Has never disappointed. However, I was disappointed that they didn't have any oysters Rockefeller. Thanks for all your years of serving us! I hear owner is retiring and I wish her the best!!

The Manager was amazing and made sure guests were taken care of when they came in the restaurant. We had reservations and were from out of town. The Manager took care of us and made sure we got seated and put us near a nice window. The appetizers we got were decent. The entrees we ordered were not good....except the steak my husband got. It wasn't as medium rare as he would have liked but it he said it tasted good. I ordered the fish sandwich and it was the flounder fish bites they put in the tacos and serve as a kids meal. I should have sent it back but I didn't. The vegetables had an interesting taste. I would not recommend Rockafeller's.

The whole experience was awesome! The manager was amazing and very supportive. Chris our waitress was very nice and friendly. I recommend Rockefeller Restaurant.

We come to Rockafeller's each year during our Ocean Beach Club Time Share week (Neptune Festival week) Food and service has always been fantastic.

This was our second dining experience at Rockafeller's. Even better than our first time because this time we made a reservation with open table and got seating with a view. Other than the noise level being excessive, I guess because of happy hour, the entire experience was excellent from being promptly greeted with a friendly smile, to the food and the service. Our drinks were excellent also. The icing on the cake was the value. Very reasonable for all that you get. We'll be back next time we are visiting Virginia Beach.

This is the third (and last) time we've eaten here. The food is lackluster and not worth the cost. My wife had the steak which was very tough and over cooked. I had blackened mahi which while properly prepared had no taste whatsoever the waitress charged us for the wrong ticket (double the price) but caught the error and corrected it in the parking lot with their portable registers. The location is nice, but for a much better meal ( breakfast brunch lunch or dinner), Rudees is a better value

For YEARS, Rockefeller's has been our go to at the beach for a nice dinner. Last night was very disapointing and doubt we will be back. Our server was fine - courteous, knew the menu. The food was very below par - especially for what we had come to expect. Two in our party order the butterfly fried shrimp. Overcooked, so it was tough and tasteless. Grouper was also over cooked and dry. The vegetable sides were overcooked to the point of being mushy and the sauce was very salty. Overall, way overpriced for what we received.

There are serious issues to be fixed in the management of the place. Firstly, customers should not be mandated to use vallet service. Not everyone would be comfortable for safety and securing valuables in the car. Receptionist was not professional and seating request could not be accommodated. There were no soap in the restroom and it was not big enough to accommodate number of customers. Finally the seared fish was swimming in oil and the food was below average. Only good part was the server.

We had the best lunch at Rockafeller's. Beautiful view of the marina. The food was delicious! Can definitely see why the She Crab Soup wins awards. It is the best!

The food is always top tier! Especially the oysters Rockefeller! Christopher was our waiter and he is the best with friendly helpful service as well as a super nice guy! We did miss the cornbread but the crab dip and naan were delicious. I need to mention the crab cake meal was superior. Thank you for a wonderful dining experience again.
