We were regulars and got to know many of the people that worked here. Was a great place, but everyone got fired and now have been "temporarily closed" for months.

When this was Roll With It, it was a 5 star board game cafe.

After Snakes & Lattes took over, it wasn't quite as nice but still good.
Now, Snakes & Lattes recently laid off every single employee they had, with 0 days warning.

I will not be supporting a business who treats all of its employees that way, and I would recommend you take your business elsewhere as well.

There are a number of other great board game establishments in the area, like Tower of Games.
In addition, there is a free board game meetup at the VA Beach library every 1st and 3rd Saturday of the month. We always love new people, and we promise to never lay the entire staff off ?

Canadian-based chain recently acquired this business fired all the former employees of a passionate local business. I get not being satisfied with how a newly acquired location is being run, but in no world is firing all the employees of that new location the right call. Former frequent customer, won't be back. RIP Roll With It

Had a lovely time here just about a month ago. The food was great, the drinks were reasonably priced and well-made, and our server was delightful and friendly. However, I CANNOT recommend a visit. The server that welcomed us, the staff that prepared our food and drink and maintained the floor, all were let go unceremoniously. Upper management should be ashamed of themselves. I implore you to take your money elsewhere and to voice how unacceptable this is, even if it won't be heard. It cannot be overstated how disappointing this was to hear. Turned a pleasant experience into one I will never return to. I hope the workers who made that experience a reality find employment that won't be torn away from under their feet, they, and all of us, deserve as much.

Had a lovely double date here just a few weeks ago. The board games were fun to play and the food was delicious to eat. However, when this company decided to fire everyone who worked at this store at once for no good reason, my review for this place dropped to one star. The employees and the cooks are what made the place amazing, without them the board games wouldn't be functional or in nice condition and the food wouldn't be good or safe to eat. But now they're gone, and this company showed its true colors. We will not tolerate these uncalled for, psychopathic, detached, uncaring corporate management tactics being enacted on members and fellow neighbors of the Virginia Beach community. Boycott this location until they rehire all previous employees and managers with a public apology or shut down the store. Corpos who treat us this way don't deserve our money. (No I'm not a former employee or manager at this location. I am a local who really liked this place and I'm really tired of seeing this happen to people who don't deserve this treatment.)

This is the best place ever invented. Josh is incredible, the games are incredible, everything was awesome. Can’t wait to come back.

Since there is a $6 fee to play the games, the management should be sure all the games have all the pieces that are required and in good condition. One game had a board that was broken in half, the cards were old and worn, and only few of the pens would write. Another game was missing pieces. I wouldn’t go back for this reason.The food was tasty and portions were generous.

My first experience with family and friends was so much fun!!! The food and drinks was delicious. Customer service was great, and the over abundance of games to choose from was impressive. We spent hours talking, eating and playing games we didn't want it to end! We even discovered they had someone come in who offer Mahjong workshops, (every Sunday), which was a nice surprise! Look forward to going again!!!

So much fun- for all ages! (ok maybe like over 6) Games of all sorts and the best is spending time with fam & friends.Fee to play (but open time), food is ok but there definitely should be more snacks! No popcorn?? Meal choices are slim but vary, also heads up that gratuity is automatically added (currently 18%).Ps for my fam: I totally won that second game with 13pts. ^•^

I love most everything about this place. The only thing I wish was different is the ordering system. Ordering for a group on one phone is a bit of a pain. Id recommend to Snakes and Lattes at least having menus at the tables to make that process easier.

Incredible place. I've been to a handful of similar businesses across the country, but Snakes & Lattes has been my favorite so far. Good food, friendly server who even explained game rules to us, and a bright yet calm ambience. We went on a Wednesday night and there were only two other groups there at the same time, so I hope this place can get the business it deserves and thrive.
