Had to sit inside due to weather but would have loved to have used the outdoor cabanas. Worst lobster roll ever, bun was supposed to be toasted and served with drawn butter, neither. She crab soup was excellent as advertised. The rest of the food for our party of 7 was mediocre at best. Waitress was good but the greeter, she needs to learn to smile, if you don't enjoy your work find another occupation.

It's all about the vibes and atmosphere here! Beautiful place to sit outside and eat. The drinks were good. The food was a bit lacking in flavor and seasoning, but it's more chill, low brow food- so it's really all about the ambiance. Gorgeous views! I had the broiled platter and a coconut rum drink that was perfectly not sweet for me!

Solid food, cabana bar area is nice. 2 hour time limit for the cabanas (weren’t there long enough to find out) Valet service too - didn’t see any mention of this beforehand or I may have missed it. I’d recommend checking the place out

We have been going there for close to 20 years, every time we come to our time share in VB! We have had dinner there sometimes three times during the week while we are here, we loved it so much. This time (8/7/25) was the absolute worst and we are sad to say that we won’t be back. We waited 45 minutes for our dinner and when it finally arrived the food was not good at all. The “sea scallops” were so salty that we couldn’t eat them and had to send them back, the filet mignon was overcooked and almost cold and the shrimp was chewy and flavorless. We don’t mind spending money for a good dinner while on vacation in VB but we certainly expect to enjoy the food when we do. I’m not sure what happened to Rudees but it’s sad to see what they’ve become after being our favorite for close to 20 years.

She crab soup had no crab flavor and no old bay as pictures on here indicate. Maybe Old Bay was on the table and I didn't notice? It was more like a flavorless potato chowder. I left most of it, my daughter wouldn't eat it. Hush puppies okay. Shrimp hard to peel but large. Service was great.

My family and I visited Rudee’s on Wed 8/6, and what we experienced was blatant neglect that felt racially motivated. We were seated, then ignored for over 30 minutes—no water, no server, no acknowledgment—while other non-Asian tables that arrived later were fully served. We were the only Asian family there, and the only ones treated this way. When we asked for help, the response was a casual, “Oh, the server probably forgot about you.” This wasn’t just bad service—it was unacceptable and discriminatory. To random strangers who come across my review: business that treat people this way doesn’t deserve your support.

Me and the fam have been coming here for YEARSS this time was really NOT IT though. They told us we had to wait 40 minutes to be seated but there were LITERALLY empty tables, we had to ask to be seated and they finally let us sit. The waiter was fine at first but around when we got our food she was starting to become passive aggressive. My sister’s meal came with two sides, and she ordered vegetables. The waiter did not explain to her how the order was put in, and she just received the vegetables and not the other sides. I got the chicken Alfredo with grilled chicken. The pasta was fine it was not great(had to add salt) the chicken on the other hand was not even EDIBLE. When trying to cut the chicken it would basically not even cut, I tried it and couldn’t eat it AT ALL. When we told the waiter that it was overcooked and not edible we asked to take it off of the bill(She did offer to remake it but we declined). After a few minutes of telling her about the chicken she returned with a SMALL PLATE to gather the mangled chicken. As a person of color, the service felt kind of discriminatory, as we were the only black family AND the only ones waiting to be seated and last to be served.

This makes the 3rd time visiting Rudee’s and each time it’s been great! The staff is always friendly and the food is always amazing. This time I got the broiled shrimp and Alaskan Snow Crab Legs and Cheesecake everything was so tasty. We can’t wait for our next visit.

There was mold above our heads while eating, Food was overpriced for portions

We celebrated my mom’s birthday here and ordered a spread of food. Everything was phenomenal. I personally was able to taste the she crab soup, rockerfeller oysters, lobster roll, and an oyster shooter - all were phenomenal ! I believe our waiter’s name was Miguel and he was fantastic 🤟🏾 we will be returning.
