Ramen and sushi were excellent, the ingredients were fresh, the flavors well-balanced, and the portions generous.
The only downside was the temperature inside—it was so cold that when I started eating my hot ramen, my glasses fogged up! The food was fantastic, but the experience would have been even better if it had been a bit warmer.

My husband and I recently went here for dinner and I'm kicking myself for not trying it sooner. I got the chirashi and it was so good and the fish was cut nice and thick. The restaurant is nice and cozy, and in the back has two low tables on a platform so you can sit on the floor.

There is a reason this restaurant has so many regulars. I’ve been coming here for over a year and have watched this place blossom. The staff has slowly increased to keep up with its increasing customers. I’m so glad to see this place gets the recognition it deserves.

Incredible food and service, everyone was very kind and helpful. our waitress was very attentive and sweet we were also attended by other staff while our waitress was attending other tables. a very lovely experience for me and my family. The food was delicious and incredibly well made, the miso soup was hot, and had good amounts of tofu, seaweed, and green onions. the Disney roll was delicious and well proportioned, very beautiful, and welcoming restaurant. Definitely a must try.

After living in V Beach for years, I still haven’t found a better sushi spot than Sakatomo! The intimate setting is located in a small shopping plaza with a few tables, a bar, and two large traditional Japanese sit down tables in the rear. I appreciate the quiet but comforting atmosphere, and being able to watch the sushi chef make our food in an open area behind the bar. The dining area and restrooms are always clean, and it takes no time at all to be seated. The staff is highly attentive, courteous, and prompt with taking your order. The menu selection is vast ranging from specialty rolls, to rolls a la carte, to appetizers (i.e. edamame, gyoza) to desserts. On a normal visit, my table orders 3-4 rolls and receives them in about 15 minutes. The rolls are so fresh and delicious that I have never had a roll I didn’t like. A nice touch is real wasabi and gari served with each roll (not the imitation wasabi paste usually served at cheaper sushi places). I’ve also noticed that the sushi chef is always interested in your opinion of the food, and I like being able to thank him personally before departing. Highly recommend for any occasion.

Parking: Shared parking lot in small shopping mall center

Wheelchair accessibility: Front doors wide enough to accommodate wheelchair, however they require to be manually opened which may be a struggle. Plenty of tables with removable chairs to dine at. May be a challenge to use restroom as the door may be a narrow fit and it’s a small 1 room bathroom.

This place is awesome... the fried rice is awesome... the dumplings i had were off the chains fresh and paired perfect with the sauces they give you... the sushi chef is on point and is one of the best I have been too...

If you're looking for a new quite Sushi spot, this is it. The service is always pleasant and the food is delicious. We could go elsewhere and get all you can eat sushi but the quality would be less and the environment would be exponentially louder. My wife and I each enjoyed a soup a salad and 2-3 rolls. Very Good ?? we will go back.

Family go to spot for lunch and dinner! We’ve been going here for a few years and even with the ownership change last year, the quality of food and service hasn’t changed :)

Typically, I order the lunch tuna and salmon bowl or the chirashi as takeout! The portions are massive, even for lunch (very generous) and with tip, I usually pay around $26-27. Worth it as I split it into two meals. Very fresh and the sashimi slices are huge, fat slices. I love ordering for lunch cause of the value!

The owner always remembers my parents and we usually share the sushi and sashimi deluxe items as a family of 4 (3 when it’s just me haha).

Cooked food items are average for me, but still tasty. My family usually gets takoyaki and the tempura appetizers.

Highly recommend this as your neighborhood sushi spot! Lovely owner and great deal for what you get.
