I came in here to watch the playoff games on a karaoke night and this place is a must go to. The bartender bought a shot for everybody, i had the tenders and henny punch and everything was good. I had a blast, i will be coming here again

We came in the day time while walking on the strip- Chill drinks, frozen virgins that slap, and live music that keeps the night lit. No white tees—come correct. If you’re 21+ and not hitting The Sandbar, you’re doing VB wrong.🔥

Trash ! I was looking for my friend's they never checked my ID to make sure I was 21 lol then when I left and came back they told Me I wasn’t allowed in and they called the cops on me for drunk in public lol .

I go for the steamed clams, but oysters Rockefeller smell amazing.

This place has the most suspect people walking in and out, yes they have bouncers at the door but it still happens. It was weird interactions like I was being asked questions like am I there alone and then some random guy start getting close to me and my wife and we were ready to go at the point. I wouldn’t go here anyway because the hookah was really harsh, you will not enjoy smoking the hookah at all. The drinks were okay nothing special. Word to the wise watch your back at this place and be vigilant of your surroundings

My favorite spot to come to every time I visit Virginia Beach. PJ is the best bartender!!! Extremely sweet and responds to his customers quickly. Also, the music is great. Cannot beat a mix of throwbacks and current music.

The wife and I just made it down here today and it's her bday today. Had dinner at the holiday inn right across the street told the wife let's go across the street and get a drink ( even though we have a fresh bottle of Don Julio in our room) we walk in and it's not packed At All Big Boy at the bar charged us $40 for 2 shots on the rocks. ALL THE WAY OVER CHARGED!!!!! And it's watch him change the regs less for more drinks. Just be fair no reason to over change just cause ppl be from out of town. That's all the way messed up!!!!!! I wish I would have looked at the
Came here a year ago and had a great time. I’m back one year later and I walked by and looked at other spots on the same strip and ended up coming back here because it looked the most poppin and fun! Great service! I asked the bar tender which hooka flavor didn’t taste like dirt and he said none of them. I ordered watermelon hooka which most places can’t get right but the watermelon hooka here was smooth and amazing! Staff was super cool and the customers were all really cool and full of fun and joy! Great vibes! This is a no bs review! Thanks sandbox!

Make sure to double and triple check your receipt and ask for a full itemized copy of your receipt before you pay. They lore you in with lies about specials and then give you the menu with normal prices. They charged us 20.00 for an extra coal for the hookah...WTH. not worth the money. Food was the best part.

Nice decent vibe in here fire drinks food ok the security does have favorites though definitely took notice while I was there that they didn’t care to much about me being searched but was more concerned with getting money from me for entry after he told us we were good I went back to be honest because he didn’t pat me down (stupid decision) ended up having to pay for all 4 guys I was with after he let us in or i couldn’t go back in which was absolutely insane but hey go off bud watch out for the shifty security and panhandling promoter!!!!!!

I had a really bad experience. When I asked the cashier for my drink, she pointed at my friend and said that was my drink. I had to remind her that we got the same drink. She caught an attitude, and when my chicken wings were brought out, she left them on the counter for a minute. When I finally noticed, I said something to my friend over the loud music, and she assumed I was talking to her and got mad. It was very unprofessional. Instead of doing her job, she was eavesdropping on conversations that had nothing to do with her.
