Super fresh fish, unique rolls, great service, always has Toro in house, don’t even get me started on the Otoro, 10/10 quality I haven’t had Toro of that quality from here to DC once. A hidden gem, must try.

I love this restaurant. Its always so fresh and a great treat. I go here for lunch breaks and my food is always ready in a timely manner. The staff is also really sweet! I didnt get many pictures of my food because i devoured it lol

Sapporo East? More like Sapporo Fest! This has been one of my favorites during my travels to Virginia Beach. Everything was amazing and I rarely find otoro at sushi places. Left very happy, and would highly recommend this place.

Our first trip here and we drove 40 minutes from Norfolk just to try this place. Arrived just before 4 for a very late lunch. The place is impeccably clean, the lighting is nice, soothing music and only one other table. He got the steamed shumai and the Sorpporo East roll and hot sake. I got a Carnation roll and Firecracker roll and Sho Chiku Bai Ginjo Cold sake. Expansive menu. Everything was just so good. It was hard to decide what we liked the most. Great service from Jenny too. We decided we have to come back every week to try everything we wanted to order but was too full for. Definitely recommend!

This restaurant is near my house, but I had never tried it until now. I ordered the sushi deluxe, and it came with chu-toro (fatty tuna) — it was amazing! I was really impressed with how they sliced the fish; it reminded me of authentic Japanese sushi (I’m originally from Japan). I wish I had tried it sooner, but I’m sure it’s going to be my favorite sushi restaurant from now on.

Sapporo East is hands down THE best sushi and eastern cuisine at the beach. Just delicious food and excellent service. I can’t say enough good things about this restaurant. So happy it’s close to us so we can go every week, and we do, lol.
