Food is good. Depending on how busy they are and what mood they're in, sometimes you get enough meat and other times you don't. Their new boxes are smaller now so the to go portions are not what they use to be. Most of the staff isn't friendly here but I can imagine their work is straining from standing in heat cooking all day. Still giving them my business every time I'm at the mall because the quality and flavor of their food is always good. Be kind to their staff, their job is hard and tiring.

The lady who took my order was rushing us to pay. I’ve been ordering here for years because the food is delicious but their customer service is horrible. I always order the same thing. Chicken teriyaki fried rice with no vegetables. I paid but once the food came out there were vegetables. I would’ve been fine if they just took it off but they just laugh in my face and told me i was wrong. The lady who tookmy order yelled and told me i didn’t order it and act like i was the problem.

Surprising that they have decent beef bento box - reasonably priced at $11.95 considering how food prices everywhere have skyrocketed. Last Yelp review I saw was from 6 years ago and the price was at $9. Service was fast, the cashier, line cooks were efficient. The wasabi, fresh ginger and California rolls in the bento box were fresh. The fried dumplings were perfectly seasoned and browned (no burnt edges!). I got the noodles instead of white rice or fried rice. The noodles were too oily! Therefore the not perfect 5 star rating.

Food is always good but customer service is very poor. I watched one of the cooks argue with a guest over what he ordered and what was rang up at the register. I had to defend the costomer because I heard his order and the guest was in the right. But the cooks should never argue with a guest over a order. I get it, the cooks always have it the hardest and definitely deserve more recognition. But bad costomer service is never the way to go. I've been in restaurant management for over 20 years. I definitely know.

My travel buddy/boyfriend and I came to this mall with some friends and during our trip we all stopped to get some food at various restaurants in the food court and this is where I ended up going and the food was great, they gave me a pretty good portion of food which was awesome. The service was great as a whole. Will definitely come back again.

This place needs to get shut down, the workers are sneaky and rude, I ordered a shrimp bento which was 10.58 and the fried rice was 50 cents more and a drink for 2.15, the total came up to almost 20 dollars I then decided to come back with my mother 5 minutes later and they added the same items for the total to be 16 dollars, I confronted them about the changes of prices and all of a sudden they acted like they couldn’t understand a thing we were saying. I understand tax is a thing but there is no reason a meal and drink should ever cost that much, especially at a togo place. it’s sad because they’ve probably gotten over on so many people and tourists, THEY ARE SCAMMERS DONT GO HERE

Food is trash. I would happily pay price if it was actually decent. This place is not the same. Don't waste your money here. You pay more and get less food and quality of food has gone downhill. I didn't eat much of it. Sad.

Hello All!I have been enjoying Sarku Japan at Lynnhaven mall for over HALF MY LIFE! From their days of being on the 2nd floor, next to the Chik-Fil-A when it was new, to now when they are now in the lower level food court. This place holds a dear place in my heart for my father and I use to eat here on the weekends when he would have me. My order hasn't changed at all: chicken teriyaki, fried rice, with double meat and extra vegetables. If I could offer some constructive criticism; I would suggest working on getting more consistent with serving portions.Example, I'll order the same meal (x2) for myself and my mother for lunch and when I return with the meals I always end up weighing them and giving her the one that has less ounces of chicken. She's more petite than I am. Therefore, if portion sizes were more consistent you would have: happier customers who aren't feeling ripped off pending on who is serving them, more accurate ways of notating projected monthly inventory orders, and it could possibly equate for a better experience for the workers too.Thank you for taking the time for read my review.
