Corduroy is a nice lil cafe with a cozy country vibe. The staff is incredible! Serena and Eddie have excellent customer memory and great auras. It’s very cute and comfortable inside. The food is so good and unique! Street corn pasta, fabulous tiramisu, baked egg ciabatta, burritos, pastries, cherry blossom infused drinks, locally sourced produce, etc.! Everything is tasteful and aesthetically pleasing. Great service and atmosphere. There’s a cute bookstore inside, ReadBooks, that hosts a Book Club and events. Check it out!

Great spot to relax and enjoy a pastry and a flavorful coffee drink of your choice. They have lots of different choices for alternative and natural products to put into you latte, and their pastry are made fresh daily.
For little toddler children, they can play out back and enjoy the sunshine and run around and play. Very eclectic.
Kid-friendliness: Slides, lots of space for kids to run

My kids had the best time yesterday. Va Beach false summer days are some of the best days. Sawdust’s service and menu was fantastic! The location alone is a joyful experience. Sitting out on the porch, having a bite with a gentle wind blowing by. The food is delicious and has such an earthy feel to it. The pimento BLT left me speechless. My kids really enjoyed the playground area and treehouse too.
Parking: Plenty of parking
Kid-friendliness: There are a lot of playground areas outback.

Corduroy is an absolute gem! The atmosphere strikes the perfect balance between modern and vintage charm, with cozy reading nooks that make it an ideal spot to unwind or get lost in a book. The attention to detail in the design makes it feel both stylish and inviting.
I ordered an ube latte with oat milk, and it was incredible—smooth, flavorful, and just the right amount of sweetness. The quality of their ingredients is evident, and you can tell they put care into every cup.
Whether you’re looking for a place to work, relax, or catch up with friends, Corduroy is a must-visit. I’ll definitely be back!

Corduroy (formerly called Sawdust Rd) is such a gem! The coffee is fantastic, and the unique, funky atmosphere inside their cozy old cottage makes it a place you’ll want to hang out for hours. I’m obsessed with their Blueberry Ricotta Waffles—they’re hands-down the best waffles I’ve ever had.
Dietary restrictions: They have good non-dairy milk options for coffee

Scone was very weird texture.. very gummy and not tasty :( House pumpkin latte tasted nothing like pumpkin… just coffee with cream. They also put ice in my husbands cold brew? Cold brew is cold already and didn’t need a bunch of ice in it to water it down and give us less coffee. Very disappointed! Don’t recommend

Love this place! Love their lattes! Love the ambiance! Lots of families bring their littles to play in the lovely yard. I was surprised today to see it very overgrown, tall weeds in the flowerbeds, and it generally appearing very unattended to in the back.
Please fix up the play yard by weed trimming around the swing-set/play houses, and a little mulch under the swings and in the bare areas will go a long way in appearance. Even the porch was quite dirty- tables weren’t wiped and bench seats full of leaves/debris. No trash can in sight-there used to be one on the porch.
Please keep this historic place glowing! You all have done great things for it. This is a lovely place to bring your littles and have a coffee break and I’ll be back for sure!

The folks here were incredibly friendly and the atmosphere was welcoming. Unfortunately, the breakfast items I tried didn't quite live up to the initial impression. The eggs and bacon in the breakfast sandwich felt a bit bland, and the coffee tasted a little watered down. I couldn't quite finish my sandwich. It would be great to see the menu offer some options with bolder flavors to match the vibrant atmosphere.
Cute little spot with great food and a playground outside for the kids.
