We didn’t even get a chance to eat food because we left I don’t know the servers name because he didn’t introduce himself. Well when he came to the table to take our order before my mom spoke I asked him for more info on the special I saw online about 25% off appreciation for military, first responders etc and how does it work. He then said that they only give military discounts but there’s no specials so when we tried to tell and show him he already walked away with an attitude. I assume he was frustrated about being unaware of the special and looking down at his phone not even acknowledging us when we were trying to show him online and on the flyer posted in the restroom. He then comes back to our table again take our order and as he’s about walk away he asked my mom rudely if she was good she tells him yes I’m good I’m tired and hungry as he walks away he makes a smart remark “oh okay I’m just making sure because we don’t do that round here”. That sounds like a threat why is a man being so aggressive towards 3 women with 2 small children he then mentioned he assumed she had a attitude and that we were trying to offend him because they mentioned his “man bun”. We actually were having a good time thought he was cool and that him and his hair was cute no one meant any offense by the comment. I’d like to say our apologies to him if he felt offended by that comment there was no ill intent in what was said. He also makes a comment about my mom being in the military and he was disappointed when all of this stemmed from him catching a attitude when I inquired about the special.

In town for a soccer tournament with a very picky child. Food and service were excellent!! Tacos, street corn and pretzel bits 😋

We stopped in for a quick bite, got served fast and our food was delicious! I ordered the steak tacos with the street corn on the side. The steak was tender and so tasty! The street corn was excellent too! Definitely recommend checking this place out. Friendly service as well!

Glad I happened upon this gem while in the area. We went on Wednesday and leave Saturday, but I've got a good feeling we'll be back!!
Service was chill, but attentive and friendly.
Our food exceeded expectations.
I had a Blackened Tuna Ceasar Salad, my husband had the grilled chicken dinner, and my daughter had wings and chicken tenders. I had bites of everything and can vouch- solid choices.

They played good music, the place was chill and clean, people were nice, portions were beyond fair, prices were very reasonable. $5 Mimosas are always a good choice!

I spent the last month in Virginia Beach trying to decide if I want to move here and I would genuinely move here for Shadowlawn Eats! I went 2-3 times a week and had an amazing experience every time. The bartenders are so nice, the food is great, and karaoke night is not to be missed! Plus they have a great happy hour that lasts until 7pm which I really appreciate. Definitely check them out whether you are a local or a tourist!

Great local spot not far from the beach. Stopped in for a quick lunch. Food and prices are great. Ill admit once I showed up I was skeptical. But turns out just what I was looking for a local dive bar. Highly recommend if you want to get away from the over priced bland food on the boardwalk.

Had the tuna wontons! Bartender was super nice and accommodating, I wasn't sure if I'd like the sauce and she offered to get me a taste of it before ordering. Cute little spot to grab a quick bite to eat!

Dishonest payment practices. Asked for the check at the end of the meal, and everything looked good so I handed over my CC to pay the bill. Got the card back after it had been run through for payment and see there was an additional 3% tacked on that was not on the initial total to cover a “surcharge” with no other explanation. I find it shady that the waitress altered the total price to a higher amount after providing me with an initial bill with the lower amount. Will not be going back.

Amazing service, the patio has a really cool setup with lights, axe throwing, jenga, and connect 4. Food was good
