Rip shakas. One of my favorite places ever.
Customer service is not bad but prices higher than average, and they need a better music
Kind of sweet place. Not many hot chicks anywhere.
Easy to get in and out. Took my kids to see rittz. Older building but a fun time overall.
Great live music venue at the beach! Some if the best local artists and some national ones also.
Fun live music venue. Sadly the place is closing here soon to close end of 2018 from what I'm told.
Had an awesome time. I visited Shakas September 27 for the "Human" tour, and I met Slaves, Escape the fate, Famous last words, Set to stun, Picturesque, and give em hell, kid; it was fantastic. The staff even being swamped handled everything really well and it provided for a phenomenal night.
Love this place been comming for years

Simply the worst acoustics of any music venue I've ever been to. If you're going to a metal show, it'll be fine. Anything else? Don't bet on it. They mix down the vocals so much they're just a faint whisper behind the instruments. I've seen bands stop their performance, ask them to up the vocals, and had them make no changes. They don't seem to care what the bands think and I know they don't care what I think, but maybe this review can save someone disappointment.
Always love shakas . Went to Um.. Saturday that was thrown by Savage Sound . Great vibe , great show . Although the bartender with the long hair and mustache was trying to offer my buddy the drink he purchased . And my buddy was drunk , and didn't hear the bartender calling his name to give him the drink . So the bartender starts cussing out my buddy because my buddy didn't have the attention span of a sober person . What do you expect ? Can be sure I'll make sure to never buy a drink from that bartender again . It's not a good look for the venue and it definitely doesn't help the bartender to cuss out his customers , my friend (who ended up tipping the other bartender $4 on a beer)
Shaka's sets the standards for the versatile music venue at the oceanfront, I'd say at the beach. It represents all the music genres and still keep it high energy and chill vibes. They support all the locals in every capacity and maintains the venue to suppprt all causes. The owner Shawn Levett has made his mark on the scene.
Came here for a hardcore show to see Volumes and Upon a Burning Body. The staff was nice, allowed the pit to take place and I didn't see anyone taken out. They have a pretty awesome wall screen too. The drinks are pricey and are to be expected in a venue like this. But at no point did I have any problem with the venue or the staff. It was a pleasant venue to see my favorite band!
Styles P show. Charge me 25 cause it's day of show but dudes coming in pay 20 at the door. Thanks JOE. Let my peeps know. No prob with 25.00. But it's about the business, right?
