My son’s last minute birthday cake was so delicious. And I’m very picky about my cakes. Had a orthodontist appt next door, forgot to order his cake in advanced but thank goodness Sugar Plum Bakery was right there with a small birthday cake ready to take out the door; fresh, cute and traditional. Customer service is truly wonderful; person helping me asked if I wanted it to say anything; was impressed that she was able to beautifully write, “Happy Birthday Jeremy” , on a 6” round cake.

Lovely bakery that supports special needs We got a selection of pastries and everything was lovely. Cinnamon rolls were excellent as was cinnamon twist, donuts and scones! Highly recommend.

Like I said in a another review, My wife and I we on a run for sweets so our first stop of about three was Sugar Plum which my wife had been talking about for a few weeks. we got the about 40 mins before they closed. it looks very nice inside. They have plenty of choice bakery goods from petit fours to cookies and donuts. we ending up getting a mini carrot cake a petit four, and a couple donuts. all very good, but of all the good we got that carrot cake was my fave, can't wait to go back and try again

Best pineapple upside-down cake, taste like my grandma made it and you know grandma don't play when it comes to her cakes and pies. There's a Lil something for everyone there even your k9 companion (dog).

Ordered a creamsicle cake from them and it was delicious! Good service, clear options for it to be specialized to how I needed it for a birthday. It was a large cake, plenty to go around. Would get again.

Love this bakery! I always go for their pineapple upside cake but of course have to try other things. Nothing has ever disappointed and the prices are great!

I love that they employ persons with disabilities! I have bought many items here and they have ALWAYS been AMAZING! If you haven’t stopped here - DO IT and buy some goodies, you will be glad you did!

I stopped in on my way home to pick up some cookies and saw the amazing looking macaroons and grabbed one of those also. Cookies are by the pound and it is a nice amount of full size cookies in the pound perhaps 16. I choose oatmeal raisin, sugar ( in cute spring shapes with spring color sprinkles) and peanut butter. My favorite was the oatmeal raisin, tasted just like homemade. Now the sugar plum bakery does have my favorite coconut macaroon in the area. It is a nice portion size dipped in chocolate on one side and soft enough to give way on the bite but firm enough to not fall apart. Try their macaroons, and let me know if you have another place that I should try that may have a macaroon comparable to this gem.

The people leaving 1 star reviews on here have way too much time on their hands and are clearly unhappy with their own lives and the world. They do something wrong, or the store is out of something and they feel the need to leave a 1 star review. How insane. Some people just choose to be miserable and negativein their daily lives.. Sugar Plum has been THE GO TO in VB or anywhere in the area since I was a child. And I just turned 40. Haven't ever found a better bakery. Not in Philly, NY, Williamsburg. No where. God bless those poor souls and God bless Sugar Plum.

Our favorite bakery in all of Hampton roads. The food is delicious. My favorite is the German chocolate cake and apple fritters. The mission of the organization is also amazing and the staff is always friendly and wonderful.

Update: They were very understanding and gave me a refund for my cake.

Ordered a cake on 1/7 to be picked up 1/11 at 12:00. When I show up the store is closed and I received no phone call so now my kids birthday party will have no cake. To add to that they are closed on Sunday so I have to wait till Monday to attempt to get my money back since I payed in advance.
