We've been regular diners at the Kempsville location for several years since it opened and have had nothing but the best service and great food (I'm partial to the she-crab soup but everything else on the menu is superb!). I was introduced to Surf Rider at Bay Point when I worked at NABLC and was hooked so it was great to see them open the Kempsville location.
We highly recommend Surf Rider, not just the Kempsville Location but all of them. Top quality restaurant!
I really hate leaving bad reviews. But I really feel compelled because the food was just so bad and so expensive. The boiled shrimp were overcooked, the oysters small and stringy, fried shrimp was over cooked, baked potato old, salad was brown. If you go for the views, stick to beer and a few appetizers. The sweet and spicy shrimp and crab dip were good.
