⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ This was our second time visiting (our first was last June), and once again the experience was absolutely amazing! The seafood is super fresh and flavorful, and there are even some tasty options for those in our family who don’t care for seafood. Our waitress was, Cassie, she was wonderful—attentive, kind, and so patient with my son, making sure his sweet tea was always full (and trust me, she refilled it at least 5 times without hesitation!). She even handled a food replacement with such a great attitude, which we really appreciated. What touched us most, though, was seeing Alex again, who had been our server last year. She actually remembered us and came right over to say hello and check in on how we were doing. That kind of genuine care and connection is rare and made us feel so welcomed back. We left with full bellies and full hearts. We’ll definitely keep coming back whenever we’re in the area!

When are you closed for the season
Surf Rider is a local gem for fresh seafood and a relaxed, coastal vibe. The oysters are always top-notch, the crab cakes are some of the best around, and you can tell the seafood is fresh and prepared with care. The menu has a great balance—classic seafood dishes alongside casual favorites—so there’s something for everyone.
The service is friendly and attentive without being pushy, and the atmosphere feels like a true neighborhood spot: laid-back, comfortable, and welcoming. Prices are fair for the quality, and the portions never leave you hungry.
If you’re craving seafood done right in a casual, no-frills setting, Surf Rider is a must.

We hadn’t been since last summer, but boy am I glad we got here before they close for the season. Everything was excellent! The fried founder was huge and crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Crabcake was, as always, perfect. We also shared the wedge salad-the balsamic takes it from ordinary to delicious.

Great orange crushes from the bartender Megan D!
Sat for 20 minutes watching the waiter go to every table around us... no one came to our table. Talked to 3 waiters, the bartenders, and the manager... still got no service. 10 minutes later a bartender came by and took our order and said it was on the house... this was a lie. Worst service I've ever experienced. Waiter even followed me to the bathroom and harassed me. I yelled at him for harassing me and apparently that's not ok there. We were asked to leave because I yelled at the employee harassing me and following me to the bathroom. Never in my life have I experienced such awful service and lack of consideration at any business.

The highlight of our trip this year! Tucked away, with a beautiful view of the marina. Food was amazing and our server was the friendliest we’ve had in all the years we’ve been coming to the beach for our family vacation. Very chill vibe and a perfect place to unwind after a day in the ocean. If I could give it 10 stars I would.

A great relaxing place to get seafood. Makes me sound old but I have came here since I was a kid, and now I get to bring mine there and share the experience.

Used to be my favorite summer restaurant. Last 2 times weren’t good. The last time especially, was horrible. Ordered grilled shrimp with baked potato. I received shrimp cocktail that had been heated and had a little Old Bay on it. Didn’t receive baked potato at all. 10 minutes after my dinner arrived I was told potato wasn’t ready, it was after 5 and they opened at 4. Then a few minutes later was told I wasn’t getting a baked potato at all, I was getting little new potatoes. Not even close to the same taste and they were overcooked. I ended up getting sick from the shrimp as well as my friend who received the same
A real local’s secret! This is our favorite lunch restaurant- only open from April to Labor Day leaving locals so sad in the fall & winter!
Our server today was Alyssa- she was so accommodating. Always checking in to see if there was anything we needed: The fresh seafood here is amazing! This Surf Rider can be hard to find but well worth it!
