Unassuming place you can easily drive past if you aren’t looking for it. Excellent sandwiches, especially deli meats. It’s November, and I just ate a fresh tomato in my Italian sub. Solid choice for pickup. In the summer, parking may be limited, but there is a public lot across Norfolk Ave.

Tad's Deli says they have the best Reuben, and I will have to get my husband's opinion on that should he order it in the future.. I had a ham and Swiss with lettuce, tomato and Mayo. It was a pretty good sandwich. My husband opted for a chicken salad sandwich, and it suprised him that it had red bell pepper chopped in it, otherwise he was quite pleased. We will definitely return to try other menu items. I look forward to trying one of the many hot sandwich choices.

Says open til 5pm, it's 1:13 closed!! We drove out of our way to give business to non chain but they now lose!!!! Subway, Jason s deli other chains now get our business!!

I’d LOVE to review this place because everything looks delicious…yet BOTH times i have attempted to have lunch at this deli it has been closed. I don’t live in Virginia Beach, but lately when I am down in Virginia Beach I have CHOSEN TO SPEND MY TIME AT TAD’S DELI, but I am turned down every time. I’m very disappointed as I love turkey clubs…I will update if I decide to visit again, which is unlikely. Would love for Tad’s to have an instagram page where I can see if they are not open due to staff issues before arriving at the Deli, considering they do not update their google maps hours.

Got a couple sandwiches for the ride home. 2 all Americans. Turkey, roast beef, ham. They were nice enough to pack them as 6" so I could eat them while driving. They were good size and weight subs.
Unique deli with homemade sides. Different deli sandwiches, and soups. I love the bbq chicken sandwich. Great chips. Surfer atmosphere

Tad's is cool. There is a place like this back home where I grew up and it was my favorite Saturday night spot.
Hubs and I like to stop in and get one of their huge sandwiches with a side and take it with us for lunch when we go kayaking nearby.
Their sandwiches are large and delicious and fresh. My mom recently went for lunch while in town to help us out with our newborn and she's been raving about it ever since.
They have a large menu of sandwiches but cool and warm, you can also build you own and have nearly anything added to one of their sandwiches or have them heat it up.
They have a rewards system I can't figure out - I'm not sure how/if anything is tracked but I've signed up for it multiple times so who knows...

I can’t say enough good things about this place! I’ve been eating here for years whenever I’m working at the oceanfront. This is one of my top go-to spots. The staff has stayed the same for years, which is great because they’re always super welcoming! I’ve gotten multiple things from here and would get them all again and again. That’s the HTS (Hot Turkey Sub), its oven-roasted turkey breast served hot on a freshly baked sub roll with mayo and melted cheddar cheese. I add crushed red peppers. I highly recommend the red peppers!Support and eat at your local deli!
