I love taste, best sandwiches in VB. This location, however, is the worst of them. Waited 35 minutes for a single sandwich. The older blonde women at the counter were clueless, rude, and annoyed when asked. After scrolling back orders, turned out she had overlooked it/marked as done. A younger girl helped get it made. Older lady then stood there with it while we tried to tell her it was ours. No apology, just annoyed stare. All 3 of the older women at the counter were rude and clueless. Super annoyed as a local that eats taste often.

i usually tend to love this location, my order has never been made wrong; however i have to question the integrity of one of their workers. she was an older slim lady with blonde hair who seemed to have given us an attitude from the start but i can get past that. what i can’t get over is the fact they handed our order the the wrong customer who opened the sandwiches to check and realized they were wrong, he handed them back and said lady proceeds to take the sandwiches to the back and i see her verbally tell the young girl in the back to just rewrap the sandwiches. working in a restaurant myself i know that’s unacceptable. i had to convince her to remake the sandwiches after she was giving us a fight and saying he didn’t touch it. the young girl in the back and bigger mixed girl up front seemed very sweet and i’m glad they realized the older worker was in the wrong.

I order from this location semi-frequently. My food has always been prepared correctly and fresh! I recently ordered on doordash and unfortunately received the wrong order (dashers fault, not Taste). When I called the store and explained, they remade my order and I was able to go pick it up. Everyone working was kind and friendly, and I really appreciated them going above and beyond so that I could have my correct items! I love their Brunswick stew and the fountain ginger ale. This experience made me love Taste even more!

Asked for no tomatoes, they put them anyway. The second sandwich is the Pungo BBQ pork one and all we got was a smashed sandwich of just meat and bread. There was no slaw or BBQ sauce.

I just wanted to take a moment to recognize Donna in the catering department! The team member who normally handles catering for our corporate office was out, and I was completely winging it. Donna got on the phone with me and walked me through every step of the process. She even remembered details of our usual orders and made sure everything was taken care of exactly as we needed. I love TASTE! They have pebble ice (iykyk), unique fountain drink options, and support local farms and businesses. Fantastic menu that accommodates dietary restrictions - vegetarian, gluten free, etc.! I love this location because of the palm trees and gorgeous patio. Decent size too that comfortably fits the high traffic of people in and out. The staff are always nice, walk around and hand out menus while you’re waiting in line, and they are always kind at the checkout. The sandwiches always taste so fresh and never disappoint.

We go here often, and today our meal took about 30 minutes. Rhonda came and apologized and ended up taking care of us. It wasn’t a huge deal, but she made us feel like our time was valuable. She was so kind. I will go out of my way to come to this location more often.

This is a special place to me. I've always had great experiences. Im hoping to display my art and prints of sandcarvings and more of places around VA Beach. Im currently getting mermaid series ready. About 3 more pieces to go. But I love it here. Give Piper a raise she had a good idea what to do. You were out of those delicious farmhouse salads. Please keep stocked up. The one w blackberriesand creamy Goat cheese w chicken is to die for.. So I ended up w chicken salad...salad but got the fig whatever dressing vinegaroette and it was delicious!! Everyone is so kind here. Im bad with mames but I will mention those on another reveiw. Its very clean. A bit bougie has special VA made items kinda like a farmer's market without the farmers...hah...it feels so happy with all these great employees. I can tell they love being together. Also I love my refillable Taste thermos. Thanks for everything

Here very often as work is in the same plaza. Lots of great sandwich and soup options - new options each month too. Likewise, their grab & go selection is great too. Good pickups for party/gathering snacks, lots of local flair too. Definitely give Taste a shot if you haven't!
