This place is no longer good, their clientele is too big I guess for them to offer decent service anymore. I tried calling in an order for a sandwich for pickup. The answering machine said sorry we couldn’t answer your call blah blah blah please order online. So I go online and their order system is down because they are too busy. This is ridiculous for a sandwich. Lost a customer today but that doesn’t matter to them because they have a ton of tourists who pop in here thinking it’s someplace cool. It’s just an overpriced sandwich shop that thinks they are fancy.

While the quality of the sandwiches has always been consistent, the ordering process at this location is deeply problematic — and has been for years. Despite being a long-time customer, I still routinely face 30 to 45-minute waits just to place an order. The limitations around online ordering hours are unclear and inconvenient, and phone orders are seemingly impossible — no one answers, and the voicemail message consistently states that phone orders aren't being accepted.

This isn’t just an occasional inconvenience; it's become a systemic issue that gives the impression the store is either understaffed or unwilling to improve customer service. As a loyal customer, I find it increasingly difficult to understand how this continues without any resolution. I hope someone can provide clarity or a plan for improvement — because as it stands, it's hard to justify returning.

I have been wanting to stop here for a while, and finally got the chance a few days ago. It was well worth the stop. I had the country ham biscuits and a smoothie, which I can't remember the name of, but it was the strawberry one with honey Greek yogurt and apple juice. I am very picky about smoothies, and this one was 13/10. The biscuits were also yummy. I also had a bite of my daughter's turkey sandwich; the turkey was really tasty and high-quality. My son enjoyed the chicken tenders and raved for two days about how good the honey mustard was. He's the one to win over, being that he hardly likes anything but pizza. The children also enjoyed the peanut butter chocolate smoothie. I did some shopping in-store as well. I ended up with glazed pecans, a lemon blueberry bar, another lemon dessert bar, a snickerdoodle cookie, and a few other things. Every single dessert I tried was to die for. I love anything lemon, and some places don't add enough lemon to call things lemon; this was no problem with these desserts. They were fabulous. I grabbed a few coastal cocktails I haven't had the luxury of trying yet. Taste seems to have all of their flavors! The farmers market was closed by the time I made it, but I will be back for those fresh butter beans.

Knew its founder, Peter Coe, and have been eating there since the start. I like their food and the vibe. I see some complaints about the price, but 2 combo meals at Burger King cost $30 now. So, I think the same price for 2 gourmet sandwiches w/ chips is not that far of a reach.

After getting my food I realized I would have been better off going to the grocery store and making my own sandwich. Bread was sliced too thick, and soggy

Came here to enjoy the live music and atmosphere. Absolutely loved it! Food options are great and very good, alcohol available along with various options. Hoping to come again with our of town friends when they visit.

Incredible lunch and dinner restaurant. Always fresh and healthy. Gluten free bread is great and basil mayo is to die for! Really good prices and great options at the market including tarnished truth coastal cocktails. One of my absolute favorite spots in VA Beach!

The food is great. The management is awful at the Bayville location. They never answer the phone even if you call during low peak hours. Also, they typically turn off online ordering even when it's slow inside the Bayville location. This location needs new management. When I cater I use Town Center or Greenbrier. Much better service.
