We love dining at Tautog’s. Food always prepared and presented excellently. Service is always friendly and attentive. My go to is Jack’s Rajun Shrimp over rice. He always gets fish-this time he chose Blackened tuna. Bread pudding for dessert.Delicious as always.?Highly recommend!

My “kind” likes seasoned food so you’re absolutely right in that we’re not the type of folks to spend money at your restaurant. I eat at Michelin star restaurants and this is below my standards. You’re lucky Keith Lee didn’t write this review.Parking: Empty because no one eats this trash

The owner of Tautog’s has a problem with the rap and hip hop audience. What does this tell you?

Our anniversary dinner at Tautog's Restaurant in Virginia Beach was simply unforgettable. The atmosphere was cozy and romantic, setting the perfect tone for our special evening. The highlight of the meal was definitely the Salmon Skewers - cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor. I also tried their signature puffed pastry creation, which was a delightful surprise. Beyond the delicious food, I admire how Tautog's Restaurant preserves its historic charm while delivering exceptional dining experiences.-Marisa Balletti-Lavoie

In VA Beach for wrestling tournament & always look for a popular locals place and Tautogs did not disappoint! Res recommended; service, ambiance, food & drinks were A+. I am a fish orderer (sic) and the Red Drum special was one of the best seafood dishes I ever had out.*Went back this past weekend (4/6/24) bc I had to go back and was equally excellent!!

My husband and I love coming here, it’s one of our favorite locally-owned restaurants! We celebrated Mother’s Day, our engagement, coming home from work trips, and we take any in-town visitors here! I always get the crab cakes with rice pilaf, he always gets the shrimp scampi with rice pilaf, and we usually share the spinach dip appetizer.Parking: The parking in the back of the building usually has a couple of spots open, but if not there is a paid lot across the street and very easy to cross.

The she crab soup is gross here. The attitude of the owner is also something that is horrendous. After reading what I just read from the daily press I will no longer spend my hard earned cash at this establishment. Bill, please wake up. Residents of Virginia Beach do not frequent your restaurant bc you guys do not know how to fully cook shrimp and fish out of bags. Not bc they’re not trying to spend money at your establishment.
