This is without a doubt one of the best family Mexican restaurants in Virginia. I'm from the West Coast and lived on the best Mexican food available where the ladies made corn tortillas by hand in front of you. While no Mexican restaurant does that here on the East Coast, you won't believe how good the food is at the Shore Drive, Tequila Jalisco. (Don't waste your time going to the other Tequila Jalisco's as it all depends on the chief.) The best chilies relleno I've ever eaten and each one of their steak dishes are unbelievably tasty, or go for the fajitas or one of their big fat burritos and be sure to treat yourself to their home made guacamole with chunks of avocado, all with a well made margarita. It took me a long time to find a decent Mexican restaurant here in Virginia Beach, but I've now found a home with friendly servers and a warm atmosphere. Life can be so good...

We ordered Chimichangas, which should be fried until they are crispy. Ours were VERY doughy. The noise level was high enough that it was difficult to carry on a conversation. They need to add some type of acoustic material to dampen the sound in the room. Our server seemed to forget we were there from time to time. We were done eating for 15 minutes before another server asked if we needed our check. When our server finally delivered our check, it was another 10 minutes before he picked it up to ring us out. Overall, I don't think we will be back to this restaurant. 1

This place is so amazing!! The best restaurant, hands down!! I’ve been here once a week! I think about this place randomly during the day. ? Every single thing, from the dips at the beginning to any main course on the menu is made with love!! The people that work here are absolutely amazing and attentive! Love the art work and decor! We have been there twice since the opening, and twice they were not accommodating to our drink request. Incidentally, the drink requested was a margarita. And that truly makes a difference whether or not we come back a third time.

10 stars!!! My wife and I love this place. We have been coming for years when we go to the beach. Food is always good and service is great. It can get packed out during the summer but worth the wait. Highly recommend and can't wait to go back.
P.S.- you can get margaritas to go :) get some and hit the beach.
Parking: Decent amount of parking around the restaurant. If it is full plenty of street parking.

Amazing food, even better service, and clean restrooms!! My daughters and I just moved here last summer from Arizona and we’re having a tough time finding really great Mexican food around here. That is until we found this lovely place. We frequent here at least once a month and love it every time we go this is the second best Mexican food that we have found here, but the other restaurant is way too far, the fact that this is closer and always good and consistent is why we come back thank you For creating such a great place ?
