Bagel Baker is just so good. Not par-baked NY bagels, made from scratch local bagels.

I get the lox bagel. I love how it's two open-faced sandwiches. Bagels with soft stuff inside always fail because when you take a bite, the innards squeeze out.

The shop is clean and inviting.

Staff is always friendly.

Go. You want to go. Go now.

They close at 3. The only sad thing I have to say.

Fresh bagels don't need to be toasted. Experience why.

Coming from someone that’s actually born in Brooklyn and raised in NJ… This is the closest and by closet it’s pretty spot on and i'm obsessed. This is the ONLY bagel place i’ll go to hands down the best place so if you are looking for something that will taste like it’s straight from NY/NJ this is your place !!!!!!!! 10000/10. The other “Brooklyn places” not so much unfortunately

Delicious, fresh bagels. We buy a bakers dozen. Favorites include egg everything, poppy, and blueberry. Good value too. They sell their cream cheeses to go as well. Shop charges a 3.5% credit card fee; can be avoided by paying with cash.

The bagel baker knows bagels. The bagels here are fresh, perfect size and full of flavor. I ordered the New Jersey and it brought back so many memories of visiting family in NJ/NY. The egg was fresh and the size was healthy. I only ate half of my sandwich since it’s a decent size and will save it for later. They can have all my money 💴

Fast and friendly service. Clean.
They don’t over load the bagel with cream cheese, on a simple smear. The everything bagel is a little salty, good for me.
The coffee they use is Norfolk coffee service. It is really good. They have a “sweet cream” pitcher on ice if you like it that way. For the money getting in and out quickly in the morning it is worth a stop even out of your way. Discount for cash

Best bagel sandwiches in Virginia Beach! I have been here countless times and not once have I been disappointed. The bagels are dense and flavorful. I get the NYC on an onion bagel and add cream cheese and a hash-brown. Just as good as NYC bagels if not better and that is very hard to find down here. Love that they have an app for rewards as well.

No whole wheat bagels on weekdays, nothing but white flower. Then the white flower bagel I ordered had no flavor. Not worth the trip.
