We had never been to Virginia Beach and had stayed there a week. We had not heard about this place but were flying out of the airport and wanted to stop and have breakfast/ brunch. The location was great, I really liked the vibe and it obviously was very popular as it was busy. But I would say the food is average. It's not that it was bad, but the prices don't reflect what you get on the plate. It's pretty much All-American, 'mom and pop', comfort breakfast food. But the prices make you think you're going to get something a little more special/different than that. Maybe you are paying for the atmosphere and location. The menu is large and there are plenty of options to please anybody's taste buds. I don't highly recommend this place but I also am not deterring anybody from going. I would say the food is basic, but not terrible.

I have been here several times and gotten their gluten free French Toast. I am always happy with the quality and amount of food. They take care to prevent contamination of gluten and everything tastes great.

Update: While I appreciate your response, I stand by my review of your establishment on General Booth Blvd. My review was not based on any outside influence other than my own experience. I do recognize, that as someone who has worked in the service industry in the past, reviews are important in informing future patrons of what they can expect. This is my true and honest review. While the food is extremely picturesque. The quality does not lend to the cost that you are paying. Based on other reviews, it appears I'm not the only customer that has stated the same; that the quality and price do not equate. To assume my opinion is not my own based off a disgruntled employee, while other reviews state similar is very telling. If leadership and/or management wish to disregard my review that is your right. However, I will continue to standby my review and my experience.

I went there when my kids and I were on vacation. It was recommended. The female server we had was extremely kind and attentive, but I was disappointed with the food. For the hype it was underwhelming. I love a picturesque plate of food, but it seemed they cared more about the presentation than the quality of the food. So just know the price is more based on presentation than on the quality. 2 stars for atmosphere, the colors are dated and basic. The signs that list the specials is more vibrant and eye catching than the restaurant itself.

I brought my daughter in yesterday for breakfast the service we had was amazing we sat at the bar even though it was a busy Saturday morning we still received amazing service we were seated right away and greeted as soon as we sat down I would def be coming back my daughter loves the CARNITAS BOWL IT IS OUR FAVORITE SO FAR!!!!!!
