Nice little restaurant in the central part of the Norfolk airport.  When we arrived in the morning the waitress informed us they wouldn't be serving breakfast.  She said their kitchen had some limitations.  Nevertheless, the food was good & the service was good. We ordered the grilled chicken Caesar salad & the fish & chips.

Long, long wait. Kitchen was backed up despite few customers. Wait person did well. The salmon sandwich was good but the fries were cold.

Dispensing beer from a tap not a strong part of their service. A lot of foam! Julie seemed to be the only person working out of another 3 people looking at their phone. Avoid if you can! I decided not to order food after seeing other reviews.

Not bad for an airport restaurant. Not overpriced. Food was really good and our server was great (very friendly)

What can you expect. Ok good. Ok service. I wish Norfolk had a lounge. I ordered the Italian sausage pizza and it came out with pepperoni. When I asked about it I was told they are out of sausage. Anyway. It's a place to have a drink before you catch a flight.

I have eaten in this restaurant 2 times and both times I was there I received my food in a good time and it was delicious. If you are in the airport and looking for something to eat or a drin it is a good location.

I'm very disappointed with their service and as a Deaf customer here, I can observe the others being frustrated trying to get the service here. Poor them!! And the waiters are just doing their job behind the screen with the orders that people ordered from the barcode provided online but they don't connect with anyone on the tables at ll unless you try to get their attention. The place are beautiful and comfortable looking but unfortunately not a great service. If they have a better and caring service or staffs it would make the whole place difference. The food was good I like the chicken Caesar salad and the classic pizza looks good but the flavor was too plain with no flavor.

We're coming off of a Girl's Week Vacation, to a 6 hour delayed flight in Norfolk, on a quiet Saturday. The team of Ladies has been AMAZING!! We had a glass of wine, and entrees from the menu. The bartender was personable and so friendly! And the cook - a fun lady, who understands the value of pickles for a chicken sandwich!! This place is top-notch for super friendly service, food made with love!! Ladies, you made our day! Thanks to the Staff at The Local!

Margarita pizza is very good, but coke is just like water.

Nice atmosphere, friendly staff but horribly managed with a wait staff that's either over-worked or not suited to the job. Perhaps the kitchen was understaffed, but there appeared to be enough servers in the front. Food took way too long to get to our table, like 40 minutes, drinks took even longer so if you are in a hurry this place will not be. Wasn't even half full of people but the wait staff was acting like their hair was on fire. Servers didn't know where the plates were going running around the restaurant in circles. The simplest requests seems to be a long drawn out process. To make matters worse, the Order to Table app is clunky at best and seems to only add another layer of stress and confusion. It tried to charge me for the last people who sat at our table because it wasn't cleared out. There is nothing complicated about the food at this place, just really basic, under-loved diner food. The type of food you'd settle for because you need to eat before a flight or before you get to where you need to be in Richmond. Most of it was pre-prepped stuff so you'd think orders would fly out but, again they don't and at airport prices, there's really not much incentive left to want to eat here. My sandwich wasn't even room temperature, it was cold. Fries were definitely sitting around for a long time before they got on my plate. It wasn't just us, nearly everyone around us was dealing with the same issues. Sorry to see such a nice atmosphere and what could be a great place fail so hard but there it is. I'm only saying any of this so that someone can get this place back on track. Again everyone was friendly, just seems to be an upper management issue.

I’d rather have gone to Burger King across the way for something reliable. Why?The fries had no seasoning (not even salt) and were soggy and lukewarm. The Rueben was plain with soggy bread and dry meat. The calamari was mostly breading (and not crispy), tasted defrosted, and came with cocktail sauce (??).The service is impersonal - almost nonexistent - as they want you to order through a QR code, manually enter your card info to pay through the same app, etc. If it was really busy, I can understand that being more efficient, but it wasn’t busy.Lastly, they need the kitchen staff to run the food out - ours arrived warm-ish about 20min after she told us it was being fried. The whole thing was your typical “gross airport food,” and was $65 with tip for 2 sandwiches and 1 app; we both drank water.

The only positive thing I'll say about this place is that the ONE server was outstanding! She was polite and had an awesome demeanor. Bartender wanted to charge double for certain drinks ? with no justification.

Waiters need to get a proper training or change job. Worst service ever. And their stock of beers is not updated. And airport food so what we have right and not forgotten was not good at

While waiting for my flight my friend and I decided to give this place a shot. We had a little over an hour before our flight would start boarding. When we sat down, I scanned the barcode and ordered through their online portal a margherita pizza. I was then informed that they were out of that and a majority of the rest of the menu. Ultimately we ended up ordering the philly cheese steak combo with chips, since they were out of fries. It was okay, definitely not worth the price. Unfortunately, this is one of the only restaurants outside of the security checkpoint. There is a burger king and starbucks for quick eats. This place could definitely be better. The waitress was nice and made sure that we had what was available. I'd recommend bringing your own food to the terminal vice eating here or just stopping for drinks if anything.
