If your looking for a friendly happy group of sober patrons looking to be concerned to your PC ears, it's a military focused bar. If you need more incite, just go to the brewery next to here and avoid the locals who have a good time with no interest in being pretentious. I'm letting you know, work hard, play hard is a consistent theme and appologies are far and few between.

If you're NOT a Patriot's football fan, or a local, don't waste your time or money going to this bar. We were watching one of the other games when the owner (or owners wife) told the bartender to change the channel for these other folks who had just walked in. The owner did not even have the courtesy to ask us if we were watching the game or not ... it clearly just didn't matter.

After reading mostly positive reviews of this place I really did expect more. The establishment itself isn't bad, it's clean with extremely clean bathrooms, it's not dark or dingy inside and the outside section has ample seating room with large tables and a great overhead gazebo for shade but my biggest let down was honestly the service. I found the female bar tender (a blonde woman who's name I never even bothered to ask after the first few seconds of interaction) to be extremely passive aggressive and condescending for NO reason. At first I thought maybe she was having a bad day or she may get fed up with clientele who get belligerently drunk so I made more of an effort to bring her out of her bitchy mood but it persisted and I eventually was over it. I politely asked her where the bathroom was and her snarky response "you walked right past it!" was just the final straw. "I'm sorry ma'am, I didn't know that I needed the blueprint for the layout before I came here." I imagine it's a Cheers type bar where all the locals know each other and are friendly to other patrons but I am completely put off by the service. Chose to sit outside in the heat rather than to be around her. Left after an hour. Maybe she had a bad day but I don't want to go back to find out.

Well, I finally tried this place. I was NOT disappointed! The steak nachos were over the top! Now the French dip left me speechless, IT WAS THE BOMB!

The owner Brian was drunk at the entrance of the bar. Cursing yelling at his wife! Accusing the bartender of not ringing in drinks pointing his finger at patrons. Most uncomfortable experience ever!!! Came for fish tacos, left in disbelieve!!

Great food at an amazing price! But..... Me as an everyday customer did not get any service. Literally watched the waitress walk by me multiple times and not say a word to me but have plenty of service to ALL of the bikers.... No service to the everyday customer though. If you're a biker go for it but if you're not, the service blows a fat one

Always great specials..... and those damn smothered hush puppies.... those damn smothered hush puppies..... God damn. We did chicken and it was amazing I want to order the shrimp next time. Amazing place it's a hidden gem!

Stopped by the Patriot Pub for a beer and a bite before heading out at Norfolk Airport. It's not fancy, but the staff was super friendly and the food was great. The Guiness on tap was cold and fresh. I had the fish & chips and it was awesome. My buddy had Shimp and beef tips which were also great. All in all - it was a great experience and I look forward to visiting again the next time I'm in the Norfolk area.

Ordered the dry rub and spicy honey glaze.... OMG I'm stuck between here and bucket heads as the best wings in V.B. They come crispy and hot just like the way I like it. Happy hour ends at 8. They Got 4 dollar Jameson shots!!! Man you can't beat that!!!!!!!! And .75 wings on Wednesday. It's Only WEDNESDAY!!! . Customers cool, bar tenders are great. Kinda small but definitely a good place
Great special, nice vibe and staff. One thing that would finish off the large outdoor space perfect would be a fire pit of some sort. Only negative is very limited parking. The food is hands down awesome and no where near "bar food" I'd happily go here for just dinner!

I'm giving this a 3 star review only because of the situation that occurred. The food was 4.5 stars alone. We had a large group of senior enlisted sailors. We all sat down at the bar and started to look at the menu when a group of 3, highly intoxicated, individuals came over and started being obnoxious, almost causing a fight. We moved outside and they followed. Finally the manager kicked the small group out and they acutally handled the situation well. I ordered a bunless burger that was AMAZING! I highly recommend stopping in, just don't be an obnoxious drunk.

So I had really liked this place and made all my friends come. But three intoxicated individuals made it unbearable. Which is pretty unfortunate and it sounds like they are friends of the owner. To make a short story even shorter 9 of us went to eat there cause I said it was good but we had a horrid time. There are a lot of places to eat and this won't be the place i bring all my friends next time. Even though the bar paid for a round of our drinks it did not make up for how south that could've gone very quickly. I do appreciate the feedback from management. As well as the efforts they made to alleviate the situation

Ordered food from here through Uber eats one night when we were busy. The food arrived relatively quickly & the price for two things of wings and fries was only $23. The wings weren't the best. My husband who is not picky at all said they were very fatty and seemed frozen. I've seen pretty good reviews from this place so I would try this place again and order something else off the menu.

So another day out for lunch and this was the spot for us today after checking out Yelp. Now for the good and bad. Good we liked the look of the place it has a good military type of theme and vibe to it without being over done to the point of ridiculousness. This is still a relatively new place only been here since 2016 so what happens over time remains to be seen. The place is extremely clean which is nice! The funny thing here is it seems they kind of want to be thought of as a dive bar, but it is too clean and bright inside to be what I think of as a true dive bar. The food is ok not great and not bad I would eat here again, but I would not go out of my way to get here. The French Dip was pretty good for the price, but the Cajun fries are great! Bad it seems this is a neighborhood hang out which I am fine with, but it seems maybe the staff are so used to locals they are not sure how to perform when new customers come in. After our meal it took us about 20 minutes of waiting after the table had been cleared to get the check. Seems that we got kind of lost in the shuffle while chatting with regulars. The smothered hush puppies that are listed as the "house special" are not all that great! The Cajun sauce was totally bland to the point it could have been warm milk? Not sure how that can be labeled as Cajun? Overall I think this could be a great place with a little effort they have a great theme for the location many military and retired military in the area. The path to success to me is the food anyone can make a drink.
