This was the first and last time I visited The Rustic Spoon. The name should be the Rusty Spoon. The food was disappointing to say the least. The chicken was dry a day the French toast was soggy. Also members in my party complained that the food was cold, the French Fries were hard and the mac & cheese was gummy. We left more food on the plate than we were able to eat. The food redeemed the initial impression of this place. Five 20-something females were gathered around the hostess stand chatting and finally acknowledged us, only to dismiss us with a proposed 15+minute wait because of "reservations." I defy anyone to find "reservations" on the website, FB, etc. for this restaurant on Pleasure House Road. The unfriendly attitude surprised me as VB is a tourist town and not just down on the strip. The food is THEBOMB! But sitting in a booth while you are trying to enjoy the great meal and drinks is impossible ! Do not sit in the back to back booths! It’s like trying to eat on a fair ride.we have had 4 out of 6 visits ruined by getting a booth. Maybe take out?
