The Rustic Spoon

This was the first and last time I visited The Rustic Spoon. The name should be the Rusty Spoon. The food was disappointing to say the least. The chicken was dry a day the French toast was soggy. Also members in my party complained that the food was cold, the French Fries were hard and the mac & cheese was gummy. We left more food on the plate than we were able to eat. We could have gotten a better meal at Mc Donald's or Wendy's. Than there was hidden fee that showed up on the bill. I was over charged by almost $75. Not worth your time or effort. Never will I ever recommend or go to this place again.

Whoever prepared my food at approximately 1:30pm on March 2nd 2026 needs to be fired. I ordered shrimp and grits and received everything but the grits. If you are out of grits then you could’ve just said that. Don’t just slap anything on peoples plates and expect them to eat it. I honestly feel like they only did that because it was a to go order, but that’s still unacceptable. This is how you lose customers.

Live nearby and eat here regularly, always enjoy it. Recently we had a bad experience with someone sat near us who was upset about our baby being loud briefly. The restaurant staff were so kind and apologetic to us despite it being no fault of theirs. A real family place we will always feel good about coming back to.

Their staff is incredibly friendly and helpful in understanding the menu. Which leads me to my point that there are some choices that are the most boujie Super Bowl style snacks I’ve ever had, specifically the Short Rib Mac. I love this restaurant and its atmosphere, I’ll definitely be coming back frequently.

Absolutely love this place! We had the chicken and rice soup and the Cuban sandwich. Probably the best Cuban I have ever had!

All the staff was very friendly and our waitress Megan was fantastic!

Cozy atmosphere, very laid back.

We did a little bit of everything so our bill was more expensive than just 2 people going (you'll probably spend 20-30 per person)we tried the steak and eggs and everything was cooked to the perfect temp, The famous fluffy pancakes were to die for, the risotto bites were good but I could live with out, and we both got 2 different kinds of mules and I found my new favorite drink to make because of them! The waitress was super friendly, very knowledgeable, and help us reach good choices

Enjoyed lunch with a friend, enjoyed the chicken and waffles. I was worried about the menu change from chicken thigh to breast but it was still really juicy and delicious. I tried the creamsicle crush and it was delicious as well.

Rustic spoon is a very nice restaurant to eat at with your family. My family and I visited this restaurant hoping for a delightful breakfast experience. The waitress and food and overall atmosphere of this restraint highly exceeded our expectations. You should visit this locally owned and operated restaurant if you are hoping to brighten your day and start it of with a full stomach

Sophia is an amazing waitress and personable. Food was awesome. First time here and will be back. They also give military discount with shown military ID which made it even better.

To me it’s one of those one and done restaurants everything was mid for the price. 3 shrimp that were cut to look bigger for 12 dollars is wild! Service was fine. Environment was meh, and price per serving was awful. I ordered a Nashville chicken sandwich which was decent but I think they gave me 13 fries with my side.

Incredible first time experience and on Valentine's Day no less. The Valentine's specials & cocktails were absolutely incredible! We will definitely be back to try items off the regular menu now! May have just found a new favorite spot.

My Dad and I stopped in for brunch. He had the Monte Cristo and I had biscuits and gravy. The food was amazing and Diane was amazing as well. Excellent service and excellent food. We will definitely be back. ❤️

I had an absolutely phenomenal experience at Rustic Spoon—truly top tier from start to finish. I was seated on the second floor by a window overlooking the neighborhood in Thoroughgood Commons, and the view alone set the tone for a great meal.
Megan was an outstanding server—warm, attentive, and incredibly thoughtful. She recommended some excellent drinks, and I’ll definitely be back to try the Breakfast Crush. At one point, I dropped my spoon and she noticed and came right over to ask if I needed utensils—now that’s service.
The ambiance was on point, the food was phenomenal, and the hospitality really stood out. Ryan was a great host and made me feel welcome from the moment I arrived. Danielle also deserves a shout-out for bringing the food—it was absolutely delicious.
Everyone treated me like family, and that means a lot. Huge thanks to the entire team. I’ll definitely be back!
