My comments are largely going to be about the food since the service and ambience were mostly fine.
The sweet tea barely had any sugar in it. The OG rice bowl was questionable at best. The chicken was very dry, almost like it was days old. The kale was overcooked and made the entire bowl have a burnt taste. Honestly, I have had much better meals for half the price I paid here.

Food is fabulous. Fresh ingredients in every dish. Staff is extremely knowledgeable and very kind. A must visit when in VA Beach and if you are a local this must be a go to. I’m a complete fan.

While I was eating my meal I noticed my salmon was still uncooked in the center. The restaurant took the filet back and re-cooked the same piece of salmon I had eaten from instead of cooking a new dish. They were not going to replace the bed of food the raw salmon had been cut and eaten on until my husband brought it to the host's attention. In the end nothing else was offered in restitution and the bill was unadjusted. This all left us with an impression that food safety and cross contamination isn't treated important enough. We will not be coming back to this location the next time we visit the beach.

We usually stop by this place every time we visit the farmers market. We came again this past Saturday — it was very busy, but the wait time was reasonable, around 20–30 minutes, so we decided to return specifically for the ramen on monday.
Unfortunately, this time was different. We ended up waiting for over an hour. We understand that on ramen days there’s a high volume of takeout orders, but it became frustrating watching others who arrived after us — specifically two Caucasian males — get served before we were even acknowledged. At that point, we lost our appetite and decided to leave.
We checked out politely, but the experience left a bad taste. It’s disappointing because I used to really like this place. I can not say the same anymore.

Fresh and tasty flavors. Cozy dining. Friendly staff and accommodating chef. Lamb was nicely spiced and falafel was light, tender and crispy. Great quality.
A terrible experience, no wait couple other diners but not busy when we showed up. We ordered some drinks and waited......order anougher drink and waited got our second drink and waited. We ordered 2 gyro plates on with lamb one with falafel. When they initially came out the lamb was a completed dish the second had lettuce and a little sauce on it. We mentioned the lack of falafel and onions. After more waiting we got it brought out with 2 dry falafels. Normally wouldn't complain but 14$ for a pita, lettuce sauce and 3 falafels we mentioned it to the waiter. Food was taken back and we waited. Later it was brought back with some onions and we were told that the third one was on its way. We politely declined paid and left. I've never waited an hour in a restaurant that was not busy for a complete item that was a store bought pita, almost no sauce lettuce and 3 dry falafels. Plenty of options in beach and this was the worse.

My husband and I ate here for lunch and it was amazing. Their mimosas are great and the staff is wonderful! 10/10 would recommend and I will be coming back!

Small place, nice server. Problem: someone cleaning silverware at the table next to us, dropping each piece into the silverware caddy, every couple seconds you hear this clag of a fork, knife ir whatever slammed into the caddy. Complete fail for atmosphere.
