Tortugas is so convenient to have just when you step out of Hilton Ocean Resort, next to the boardwalk. The mixed drinks are way too sweet and expensive, so we opted for Ketel One with club and a splash of cranberry for $11; that’s reasonable. The hot honey wings were really good, but the wings were so small for $15. And the tiki torch pizza was like eating a focaccia; it was dense, pillowy, and heavy, not thin and crispy. The toppings of red onion, pepperoni, and hot honey were so minuscule. The size was an 8-inch personal pizza that’s obviously not worth spending $20 on. Come hang out, get a drink, enjoy the breeze, the views, and music, but don’t order the overpriced food; eat somewhere else. Service was good.

Absolutely terrible service. Ordered a salad and it sat at the waitress station in the hot sun for 5 minutes before they brought it to my table. The drink I had was fabulous but the waitress I had was clearly inexperienced.

Would not go back.

The food and drinks are amazing! Jeremy did a fantastic job & has a great personality! He recommended a few items to my husband and I & everything he recommended was delicious! We will most definitely be back! We love great service and great food!

Tiki bar was great, atmosphere is on point. Service on the other hand is lacking and subpar to say the least. Servers standing around, management standing around meanwhile tables are waiting for menus and drinks and one server is running around the patio trying to handle it all.

We waited 20 minutes before I walked up and asked for my own menus.
Beer was warm but hey, at least that was delivered fast.

This is sad, I really had higher hopes for this tiki bar since its attached to our hotel we are staying at for week. Guess we should have visited later in the week.
Management needs to do better, coming from bar and food service management myself this hurts to even write.

Went to Tortugas for an early dinner. Sat right down, several tables available. Waitress came over & wiped down our table so they knew we were there. Waited 19 minutes & still no one came over to even take a drink order. Got up to leave & there are 3 waitstaff standing at the bar shooting the breeze. Not so much as a Thanks for coming. Obviously we left. Worst service ever.

Arrived at 1:25 pm on a Thursday mid April. It took 20 minutes to ask us what we wanted. He apologized for taking so long to take our order. We put in a food and drink order immediately. 25 minutes later no food and no drinks. The bar was about half full when we arrived and when we left. The bar tender did not appear to be very busy.

Granted this is the off season, but only a few days before Spring Break in VA Beach. The pool deck was packed, even with the pool closed. The service here was atrocious. The bartenders were fighting with each other, the food took almost 40 minutes to come out, and the tables were covered in pollen. This is not the fault of the bartenders. They were not staffed with a single server and the food came out very slow from the kitchen inside. But everyone was complaining, and this caused the bartenders to get more agitated.

The food was ok and the atmosphere was really great.

VERY kind & helpful staff but unfortunately, bad food especially at the prices. This may be an off-season issue, but I wish that we had ventured out somewhere else. I probably should’ve known better once I saw the kitchen set up. If you have a picky kid, they probably are not going to eat these chicken tenders and my fish tacos tasted really fishy & old. Three microwaved fish tacos with chips plus three chicken tenders with a cookie was $29 after tax.

Worked in restaurants for years and my wife has been a server and manager for over 30 years. Very weird experience here. We ordered nachos and waited over an hour. Server was totally clueless. Never eat there you will be sorry you did.

Went there for lunch. They are out of draft beer and that's why we went there. We left. Then went back for dinner @ 6:30 pm. They was beef. It was very windy. The fire pit was on when was there at lunch time. But at dinner time they had to find somebody to turn it on and nobody ever turned it on. We got our food @ 7:20. My husband had two drinks dirty banana $15 each. Pork nachos $24 n chicken burrito $19.

Could not get waited on. He kept on skipping us over. Went one block to Mellow Mushroom. He didn't have time, to wait on us, but everyone else. Sucks because we stay at that resort. Understaffed most likely, or just do not care.
