Welton's Seafood Market

Great little place . Wished they would have been open Monday so we could buy seafood to take home to kansas.

They had the crab legs we were looking for and after returning to North Carolina, the family demolished them lol! Price was competitive for the season. Can be a little tricky finding the spot so use your gps and drive slow. Gave them 4 stars because we had to wait until owner stopped gabbing with a customer he’d already served and us waiting for like 15 minutes for them to be done. Customer service could be better.

Clean well stocked with fair prices

Carol and I stopped by to bring some fresh Seafood home as we were leaving the PIA Convention in Virginia Beach. The Seafood was fesh--like right off the boat! The flounder and grouper were large with lots of flaky white! We cooked it last night and it was Awesomely Delicious!

We recommend anyone in Virginia Beach interested in fresh quality Seafood to go straight to Welton's and ask Buck for the Best!

Yesterday I purchased a chocolate chess pie and Atlantic salmon at Welton's Fish Market. The salmon looked like a high quality piece of fish and I decided it needed to be treated with a delicate touch. I poached it in some white wine, water, olive oil, parsley, lemon juice, garlic, and thyme to a perfect rare. It was a fine piece of fish and tasted delicious. The pie was absolutely incredible and the entire family enjoyed that.

Fresh caught seafood and great quality. Yellowfin tuna from OBX. Really nice gentleman helping us out.

We’ve been twice to get crab legs and have been really pleased with the quality! 100x better than what you can find at a grocery store. Make sure to pay in cash to avoid a credit card fee!

Friendly helpful service. Great selection of fresh seafood, and we were pleasantly surprised at the homemade sides and desserts as well. They steamed our crab legs for us. And it was only a few minutes from where we were staying on the north end of the boardwalk, which made for a quick, convenient, delicious dinner.

Oh my gosh, found this place by luck. Got 2 pounds of fresh. Steamed shrimp with some of the best cocktail sauce. Homemade I’ve ever had homemade potato salad that taste better than my mom‘s sorry mom and some really good pimento cheese. That’s what we got but there’s lots more there and the nicest guy you ever wanna meet! Sorry, no pictures. We ate it all too quick.

An excellent Seafood market! They have some locally caught fish too, we got the mauhi and Tuna to take back to NY with us and cooked them up right away....DELICIOUS. The fish is fresh, clean and cut perfectly. They have a variety of other seafood and some pre-made items they make in house. I wish I got some pre-made items but next time. We also got some frozen octopus that was the best quality of frozen octopus I have had yet. Definitely a spot to go for fresh fish. Will be back next year!

Stopped by this place unexpectedly. The gentleman behind the counter was very friendly and very helpful. He was super patient with me as I asked if I could call my Mom to review her order. Ordered 2 dozen steamed blue crabs (#1 Jimmy's) and he told me that they were very big. Well, I guess I may have expected VERY big because of what he was describing....but they were a decent size. Nothing extraordinarily LARGE. The taste, seasoning, and flavor surely made up for the imperfect size though!! Not complaining about the size, just was expecting a little larger. Price was about average (market value), but his personalized approach was well worth it. Would have given 5 stars, but the crabs weren't a large as I expected. GREAT place though and I will surely go back when in that area. Customer service is A1!!
