Review for Wing King – 3644 Virginia Beach Blvd, Virginia Beach, VA 23452
I’ve placed about 7–8 orders with this restaurant in the last two weeks, and I’ve even recommended them to my family and friends, who also began ordering because of me. Unfortunately, the last three experiences have been unacceptable.
The first issue was small — missing celery, ranch, and some sauces — and I let it slide, just asking them to include it in my next order. The second issue seemed to be between DoorDash and the restaurant, where my order was canceled after being marked as picked up. I didn’t blame anyone, but I was disappointed.
However, this third time was the worst. My chicken tenders were burnt, the fries with cheese were burnt, and once again there was no celery or ranch included. When I called to address it (not even asking for a refund — just asking that my next order be double-checked), I was met with extreme disrespect.
The first employee dismissed me and hung up. When I called back, I heard them talking about me in the background before hanging up again. When I finally reached a supervisor, he laughed at me, told me “you must be the problem,” and said he didn’t care if I was never a customer again.
As a wheelchair-bound, loyal Black woman and paying customer, I find it heartbreaking to be treated this way — especially after bringing them repeat business and new customers. The lack of professionalism, compassion, and basic respect is unacceptable. My money spends the same as anyone else’s, and I should never be made to feel disrespected, humiliated, or undervalued for any reason — disability, race, or identity.
I’ll be reporting this establishment to the appropriate channels, including the health department and disability rights advocates, because no one deserves to be treated this way while simply trying to enjoy a meal.

Leaving work late, I was tired and hungry, and with an hour to sit down and eat, I decided to give Wing King another try. Walk in at 10pm, bar is half full, and the bartender tells me they're already done with last call... wouldn't even sell me a beer. You're going to lose business this way as guests will not waste their time on a business with unreliable business hours. I certainly won't be back.
I was a regular here 10yrs ago, brought a ton of friends and family with me in that time, but stopped going once the food quality fell off. It's really a shame because this place used to jump and was an ok venue.

This place used to be so good. We received our food, not made as ordered, slightly pink, and the blue cheese dressing was yellow and runny like water, without a blue cheese crumble in sight. This used to be the best wing place in town. They have ruined it and cheapened it. You want old school Wing King? Go to the Dirty Buffalo.

Coworkers ordered lunch from here and I went to pick it up. First off, the entry way smelled like urine & cigarettes. Idk maybe something even worse but it already made my stomach turn imagining if it smelled this bad outside then I can only imagine inside. The inside smelled horrible. I had to squirt hand sanitizer and rub it under my nose while picking up the food, I ended up having to walk back outside while my coworker finished signing the receipt. The order came out to like $145 for 5 people which is kind of expensive for wings & cheeseburgers. I got the bacon cheeseburger & wedges which was $17-18, super expensive for what I got. The portions were huge, however the burger was just plain, flavorless, dry & the bun was too toasted to eat. The only saving grace on lunch were the wedges. However, the smell did get me & I ended up throwing up in the parking lot. Wasn’t able to eat even a quarter of my food. Will 1000% not be returning. Bartenders & servers were just standing around when we walked in. Maybe pick up some chemicals or a broom & clean. First impressions are what keeps clients coming back. Not dirty establishments

Ive been there several times in the past few years. Each time the place gets dirtier and smeller. This last time, at the bar, the smell from the bathrooms overpowered the entire restaurant. I started looking at the equipment behind the bar, and notice it rusted and falling apart. Place used to be good, food ususally good, but zero effort or at least zero progress on keeping the place clean. Owners were sitting at the bar with their dog in their lap. I shared my thoughts to the Bartender upon leaving, but the respsonse was he couldnt do anything about it. Wont repeat.

Ordered togo. Trying this location for the first time. It might be a hit or miss and I got a miss. I’m sure I won’t try this location again. Got 20 traditional wings, all burned, all super dry. I understand I ordered extra crispy, but the dryness tasted like they were old wings. I’ve had old wings that had been sitting out before and those wings I got from this location tasted like so. Celery also seemed stale, not too fresh, I had to cut the mushy ends. I understand it was only the first try, but it unfortunately was a miss and I had much better luck with another location.

I’ve never had such a bad experience with a delivery order. We ordered 20 wings and a large french fry. They forgot the french fry and the wings had zero sauce on them. Just a bunch of grease at the bottom. On top of that, they won’t answer the phone. I’ve been calling all night. I don’t know how they’re still in business.
