Been here a couple of times now and have loved it every single time!! The quality of the sushi, the variety of the menu, and most important the amazing staff and service! Our most recent visit there was for our teen child’s birthday and our child accidentally left their wallet and we didn’t realize it for two weeks. We called two weeks later and they confirmed that they had the wallet. Went and picked it up and all cash and gift cards were still inside. Not only do they have great sushi and service, they are also good honest people. This place is the only business left going in a dying strip. Go pay them a visit and help keep them open!

The sushi is amazing-as well as the appetizers. Service is perfect and the restaurant is gorgeous!! A must when visiting VA Beach!!

Used to just DoorDash it but since realizing how close they are we dine in only. Friendly staff and of course the food is excellent!!

We were seated right away and our server was very fast. She and the manager were very cautious of my girlfriends shrimp allergy. The food was prepared very fast and we were out of there in less than an hour. Great quick experience, we will be back!

This is by far my favorite place for sushi since I moved to VA. Super comfortable atmosphere and the protein quality is excellent.

Visiting family here in the VA Beach area from Northern Michigan and by accident found YamaChen's Sushi in my search so decided to have dinner tonight. WOW, what a great experience from the moment you walk in. The ambience and feel is very high scale and the menu selection along with the service is outstanding. We started with the Sushimi Special platter along with 5 additional sushi rolls which were just beautifully crafted along with spring rolls. The food was absolutely some of the best prepared we've eaten. The presentations of each dish fed your palate ahead of each bite. I would highly recommend this establishment to anyone who's looking for a very nice relaxed atmosphere that serves top end dishes for extremely reasonable prices. You will not be disappointed in the service, the food and the satisfaction of a great meal. Thank You very much.

I love this sushi place! All of the staff are so friendly and attentive. And they definitely don’t waste their food - there have been multiple occasions where they have thrown in something small like an appetizer for free. Is the actual sushi itself the best I’ve ever had? No. Is it still delicious and will it satisfy that sushi craving? Yes!! I’d give the sushi like a 7/10. Still very good and very much above average. Definitely try this place out!

This was the best restaurant experience my family and I have had in a very long time. The staff was absolutely wonderful, the food was phenomenal, and the atmosphere welcoming. We decided today that this is our sushi place from now on; we will be driving up from Moyock to eat here

Absolutely the best dinner experience I've ever had! The environment was absolutely amazing. We had a party and the area they sat us in was so perfect. Everything from appetizers, to the entree, and desert was so delicious and beautiful. Service was amazing. They even had a live piano player which was excellent. Highly recommend to anyone wanting a special night out. Thank you YamaChen for a great night.

I don't know if it's we have such high expectations for this place since we visit the one on General Booth so frequently, but it was not the same. A little rushed and food was good but not great. Servers are always nice, but it just wasn't the same feeling as the other Yama Chen's.

Ordered for delivery from this place for the first time and the last time. Definitely in the top 3 worst sushi restaurants I have ever had. The food quality is easily worth less than half of what they actually charge. It might be a different experience physically going to this establishment, but I am very comfortable with never knowing.
