We went to go to our favorite local place yesterday with some friends, and sadly discovered they are temporarily closed! Unfortunately we had to suffer through Twisted Crab across the street, and it's clear that Yummi Crab outshines them in every aspect- quality, service, atmosphere, just the overall experience. Hopefully this place opens up again soon!

The owner may invite himself to sit down at your table without any introduction and start performing a "magic trick," consisting of dad-jokes involving pennies. Super nice guy, but it was the most bizarre encounter, and I spent the entire time trying to figure out which other table was now missing their crazy uncle. I think a simple introduction would have made the eccentric experience more pleasant.

Yummy is an understatement ?! I went there for a small celebration, ordered the lemon pepper wings. They were cooked to perfection and the owner Robert most certainly has the gift of hospitality! The place is welcoming, prices reasonable and the food and atmosphere are amazing. We went back on New Year's day and had an even better experience! My husband who is a seafood connesuer enjoyed it more than I did!!! In these tumultuous times we need the Yummy Crab!

Visited this hidden gem again tonight. The only staff working was the manager and the cook staff. I was blown away at the level of professionalism, courtesy, and overall outstanding customer service by the manager. He held it down!!! Please Yummi Crab upper management, please acknowledge the managers dedication to your business, without him, the place would collapse. The food was delicious as always!!

Service was great, food wasn't honestly, the shrimp wasn't steamed all the way. And the potatoes had a funny taste to them that's when I immediately got my check. also the boil bag just didn't taste right. I understand restaurants have there days! So maybe when you go the food will be great.

If you want precooked frozen scallops, old oil fried food, not fully cooked eggs and rice this is your place !Wait staff was amazing and sauce was good as well as the fries and chicken but disappointed with everything else. The manager tried to tell me the scallops weren't cut in half when the menu says you get 8. In total I got 4 cut in half to look like 8.

Food was decent, one complaint. Please stop stapling the paper bags, my wife was opening the bag, and cut her finger enough to draw blood. Open wounds and salty butter, not a good mix, guess that’s why they included the plastic gloves.

There are a lot of boiled bag seafood restaurants, and it's hard to differentiate them. Yummi Crab is a rare restaurant that puts forth a lot of effort to let you know they appreciate your business. This friendly attitude is just the icing. The boiled bag seasoning is fabulous without being overly-salty, the seafood fresh, and fried appetizers are "yummy." Kudos to management and staff for outshining its nearby competitor Twisted Crab. My husband and I have gone to both and Yummi easily wins. Visiting Yummi is now a staple each time we visit VA Beach.

Fun place to go eat with your hands. Ordered seafood platter option C and it was perfect for my wife and I. Amiah was a fantastic server - very attentive, nice, and got our order perfect. They have standard ice which is sad because this place would be awesome if they had the good ice.
